The light distributing element is coupled to a phosphorescent material. The phosphorescent material is coupled to a display and/or input device. The light source pulses on and off to maintain light at a display and/or input device.
Abstract:
A modulator circuit receives a modulator input signal and produces a mapper output signal. The modulator circuit includes a filter circuit that generates an output that is a function of the modulator input signal and of the mapper output signal. A quantizer receives the filter output signal and produces a quantized representation of the filter output signal. A mapper receives the quantizer output and generates the mapper output signal.

Provided are a method, system, and article of manufacture for pooling of storage. Volume attributes are assigned to a plurality of physical volumes. Pool attributes are assigned to a plurality of storage pools, wherein the pool attributes include policies for borrowing and returning the plurality of physical volumes to and from the plurality of storage pools. One of the plurality of physical volumes is allocated to one of the plurality of storage pools based on the volume attributes of the one of the plurality of physical volumes and the pool attributes of the one of the plurality of storage pools.

Abstract:
Provided is a system and method for converting digital data audio data audio data that has a predetermined input sample rate, into an analog data signal. A system includes a digital to analog converter (DAC) including a digital processing portion configured to receive as an input the digital audio data and timing information, the timing information being representative of a time base of the input sample rate. The digital processing portion is similarly configured to digitally process the digital audio data and the timing information to produce serialized output data. The DAC also includes an analog processing portion configured to convert serialized data to an analog format. The digital processing portion operates in accordance with at least one clock having a corresponding clock rate wherein the corresponding clock rate is unrelated to the input sample rate.
Abstract:
A damper pin is disposed between adjacent buckets of a turbine rotor. A first bucket has circumferentially extending supports defining a pair of axially spaced surfaces on which a damper pin rests in a cold condition of the turbine. The adjacent bucket is undercut adjacent its platform to provide an angled surface overlying a generally correspondingly angled surface of the damper pin. The damper pin fits slightly loose within the recess and, upon turbine rotation at speed, the angled surfaces of the damper pin and recess cooperate to bias the damper pin against the first bucket whereby the damper pin engages both buckets and dissipates vibratory action.
Abstract:
A method for dynamically controlling regenerating energy flow and direct current bus voltage for an adjustable frequency drive system includes sensing a direct current voltage of a direct current bus; and sensing a plurality of alternating currents at outputs of an inverter. The sensed alternating currents are transformed to a stationary current vector. Voltage and frequency values are converted to a stationary voltage vector and an angle. The angle and the stationary current vector are transformed to a rotating current vector including torque and flux producing current components. An induction machine generating mode is determined when the torque producing current component reverses polarity. The voltage and frequency values limit the direct current voltage of the direct current bus at a predetermined threshold responsive to the generating mode. The stationary voltage vector and the angle are converted to pulse width modulated control inputs of the inverter.
