Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. User equipment (UE), such as vehicles, may implement radar transmissions to detect and avoid potential collisions with a target such as other UE or pedestrians. A first UE may receive an indication of a location of a second UE and an indication of one or more parameters associated with radar transmission from the second UE. The first UE may also receive a radio frequency waveform that includes a first component associated with the radar transmissions from the second UE and a second component that is associated with reflected radar transmission from the first UE. The first UE may compensate for an interference from the first component based on the location of the second UE and the one or more parameters. The first UE may generate a radar image from the received radio frequency waveform based on compensating for the interference.

The UE may then communicate with the base station via the second beam associated with the second transmission based on the first DCI message including the indication of the second beam, where the second transmission is scheduled by a second message different from the first DCI message.

A relay node may receive, from a source node, control signaling configuring the relay node to receive a transport block via a first air interface and to forward the transport block to a target node via a second air interface that is different than the first air interface. In some cases, each of the first air interface and the second air interface may support a same size transport block. The relay node may receive, from the source node via the first air interface, a first message including the transport block in a format of the first air interface based on the control signaling. The relay node may transmit, via the second air interface to the target node, a second message including the transport block and an indication that the transport block is in the format of the first air interface.

The UE may transmit, to the first base station and the second base station, at least one uplink reference signal using an uplink reference signal frequency that is based at least in part on the first frequency offset and the second frequency offset.

Abstract: A device may use sidelink request and sidelink response (e.g., DSS/STS and DRS) resources (in a sub-band) of different sizes depending on whether the sub-band is a primary sub-band or secondary sub-band. The device may transmit more information in the request/response resources of a primary sub-band than in the request/response resources of a secondary sub-band. The device may transmit small amounts of information in its request/response resources in secondary sub-bands. The resources in the secondary sub-bands may include, for example, reference signals, and signals indicating occupation of the sub-band. The device may utilize tone signaling for request/response signaling in the secondary sub-bands (at least because the amount of information being conveyed in the secondary sub-bands is small) and digital signaling in the primary sub-band (at least because the amount of information being conveyed in the primary sub-band is large in comparison to that being conveyed in the secondary sub-bands).

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide a repeater for beamforming a received signal at a millimeter wave (mmW) radio frequency via one or more scan angles or beamforming directions and then retransmitting and beamforming the signal at the mmW radio frequency. Repeaters may include analog and digital components for downconverting on the received signal to reduce a frequency of the signal from the mmW frequency to an intermediate frequency (IF) or baseband frequency, and then filtering the downconverted signal to reduce interference. The filtering may include digital filtering or a combination of analog and digital filtering, in which a set of filter coefficients for the digital filtering is selected based on beamforming parameters used to receive the signal, retransmit the signal, or both. The repeater may then upconvert the filtered signal back to the mmW frequency for the retransmission of the signal.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A wireless node may transmit directional signals in a sweeping transmission pattern while receiving communications from a second wireless node. Another wireless node may then, during a listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure, receive one of the directional signals, and terminate a correspondence communication session to avoid potential interference. Additionally or alternatively, a wireless node may listen in directions in a sweeping receive pattern while transmitting to a second wireless node. While listening, the wireless node may detect a transmission from a third wireless node in a particular direction. The wireless node may then accordingly refrain from transmitting in that direction to avoid potential interference.
