Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system. More particularly, disclosed are a UE-initiated control method and apparatus for providing a proximity service. A method in which first user equipment of a wireless communication system performs a proximity service (ProSe) according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a step in which the first user equipment detects second user equipment with which the ProSe can be performed; a step of transmitting a message requesting for a permission of ProSe to a network node; a step of receiving a response to the request for a permission of ProSe from the network node; and a step of setting up a direct data path to the second user equipment.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system and, more specifically, to a method and device for managing resources of a radio access network (RAN). A method by which a network node of a wireless communication system supports resource management of a RAN, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises the steps of: receiving and storing, by the network node, a portion or all of user equipment (UE) context information from the RAN at a first time point; and transmitting, by the network node, the portion or all of the UE context information to the RAN at a second time point, wherein a radio resource control (RRC)-connected state for the UE can be maintained for a time including the first time point and the second time point.
Abstract:
One embodiment provides a method for performing a mobility related procedure. The method may comprise: transmitting, by the UE configured with a 2nd/3rd generation mobile communication capability and 4th generation mobile communication capability, a mobility management request message to a first network entity in the 4th generation mobile communication network of a visited public land mobile network (VPLMN); receiving, by the UE and from the first network entity, a mobility management reject message including a rejecting cause value, a first timer and a second timer; if the rejecting cause value indicates that there is no suitable cell in the VPLMN, starting the first timer included in the mobility management reject message; if the first timer is expired, starting the second timer; and until the second timer is expired, disabling the 4th generation communication capability.
Abstract:
One disclosure of the present specification provides a method whereby a network entity in charge of a control plane communicates routing rules. The method may comprise the steps of: receiving a network-initiated network-based IP flow mobility (NBIFOM) request from user equipment (UE); receiving a setting for a presence report region from a server; determining whether or not the user equipment (UE) has entered a predetermined location on the basis of the setting for the presence report region; communicating information on the presence report region if the user equipment (UE) has entered the predetermined location; receiving routing rules from the server; and communicating the routing rules to the user equipment (UE).
Abstract:
The present specification provides a method for monitoring machine type communication (MTC). The method for monitoring MTC can comprise the steps of: receiving, by a new serving network node for monitoring, a context from a previous serving network node according to the movement of an MTC device; checking whether an indicator for the MTC monitoring is included in the context; and requesting for data related to an MTC monitoring event from another network entity on the basis of the indicator for the MTC monitoring which is included in the context and acquiring the same.
Abstract:
A disclosure of the present specification provides a method for transferring downlink data by a serving gateway (S-GW). The method may comprise the steps of: transmitting a downlink data notification (DDN) message to a mobility management entity (MME) and a serving general packet radio service (GPRS) supporting node (SGSN), when downlink data arrives at a wireless device in a state where an idle mode signaling reduction (ISR) is activated; receiving a message notifying of a DDN refusal from any one of the MME and SGSN when the wireless device, being in a power saving mode (PSM), cannot receive the downlink data; and transmitting a paging stop request message to any one of the MME and SGSN when the message indicating the refusal of the DDN is received.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for enabling a MTC (machine type communication) IWF (interworking function) to perform a trigger request in a wireless communication system. The method includes transferring, to a first serving node, the trigger request and information related to retrying the trigger request which includes information on whether to retry if the transferring of the trigger request fails, wherein if the information on whether to retry indicates retrying, the retrying of the trigger request is assigned to the first serving node.
Abstract:
One disclosure of the present specification provides a method for determining whether to activate an idle mode signaling reduction (ISR) capability in a network entity for managing mobility of user equipment. The method for determining whether to activate the ISR capability comprises the steps of: obtaining information related to a proximity service of the user equipment; receiving from the user equipment a location refresh request message; determining whether to activate the ISR based on ISR capability information of a network node that had been just previously in charge of the user equipment, ISR capability information of the network entity, and information related to the proximity service of the user equipment; and transmitting a location refresh acceptance message to the user equipment after the determination.
Abstract:
One embodiment of the present invention is a method whereby a network node selects a packet data network gateway (P-GW) in a wireless communication system, the method for selecting a P-GW comprising the steps of: receiving, from user equipment, an attach request including information on a group; determining whether or not the attach request is a first request from the group; and selecting a P-GW to perform a policy and charging enforcement function (PCEF) on the group including the user equipment, wherein the selected P-GW is the same P-GW selected for the group in case the attach request is a third or later request from the group.
Abstract:
The present specification provides a method for performing a tracking area update (TAU) on user equipment. The method may comprise the steps of: sending a TAU request message to a target base station as user equipment moves from a source base station to the target base station; performing a service request procedure or a radio resource control (RRC) connection procedure shortly after receiving, from the target base station, information related to downlink data and/or information related to paging; and receiving a paging signal from the target base station after performing the procedure.
