    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify that an uplink control information (UCI) payload satisfies a threshold size condition. The UE may map the UCI payload to an uplink control sequence. The UE may transmit a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) that include the uplink control sequence to a base station. The uplink control sequence may be representative of the UCI payload. The base station may receive the PUCCH that includes the uplink control sequence from the UE. The base station may also determine the UCI payload by associating the uplink control sequence with a corresponding sequence index of the one or more sets of uplink control sequences.

    Abstract: Techniques related to multi-layer wireless communications are disclosed. Some aspects of the disclosure relate to devices and methods for determining a transmission power boost for a phase-tracking reference signal (PT-RS). A wireless user equipment (UE) may map a multi-layer uplink transmission to a plurality of PT-RS ports by distributing the layers of the multi-layer uplink transmission among the plurality of PT-RS ports. The UE may determine a first transmission power boost for a first PT-RS port, and a second transmission power boost, different from the first transmission power boost, for a second PT-RS port. The UE may transmit a first PT-RS corresponding to the first PT-RS port utilizing the first transmission power boost, and the second PT-RS corresponding to the second PT-RS port, frequency division multiplexed with the first PT-RS, utilizing the second transmission power boost. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

    Abstract: This disclosure relates to collision resolution for overlapping uplink transmissions, and includes a method and apparatus for identifying a plurality of scheduled uplink transmissions that overlap in at least a first slot and a second slot, wherein the plurality of uplink transmissions comprises a high priority uplink transmission scheduled for repetitive transmission across at least a first slot and a second slot and further comprises one or more uplink transmissions scheduled in the first slot and two or more uplink transmissions scheduled in the second slot, wherein the two or more uplink transmissions scheduled in the second slot comprise at least a first low priority uplink transmission and a second high priority uplink transmission; and performing a first collision resolution procedure in the first slot and performing a second collision resolution procedure in the second slot, the second collision resolution procedure being independent of the first collision resolution procedure.
