Abstract: A data clustering device includes an input configured to receive a plurality of data points encoded in at least one signal and a hardware logic circuit configured to extract one or more features of the one or more data points from the at least one signal, create or update, based on the one or more features, one or more data clusters representing one or more of the data points, and encode at least one of the one or more data clusters in at least one output signal. The device further includes an output configured to provide the at least one output signal, for instance, to a processor, such as a processor for controlling a controlled system. The device can be further configured to split or merge the data cluster(s) based on a statistical distribution of the one or more data points in the respective data cluster.

Abstract: A method for launching a round from an airborne platform, receiving a plurality of RF signals at the round, determining an amount of time between a first and second received RF signal, where the second signal is a multi-path signal and the first signal is a direct path signal. An altitude of the round is determined based on the delay between the first and second received signal and aligning the round's flight path with an initial velocity vector of the aircraft platform to reduce dispersion. The round can include a plurality of sensors for detecting the RF signals. The second received RF signal may be a multi-path signal having been reflected off of the earth's surface or another object on the earth's surface. The altitude of the round can be determined using the known altitude of the airborne platform, the delay of time between the first and second received signals, and the speed of light.

Abstract: A V-band clamp includes first and second clamp sections each having an arcuate shape with a first end, a second end, and inside surface defining a recessed channel. A hinge pivotably connects the second end of the first clamp section to the first end of the second clamp section. At least one fastener is configured to releasably connect the first end of the first clamp section to the second end of the second clamp section in a closed position. When the V-band clamp is in the closed position, each fastener extends through an opening in an end face on the first end of the first clamp section and into a bore in an end face on the second end of the second clamp section.

Abstract: A method for radiation hardening synchronous Dynamic Random Access Memory (DRAM), where Error Detection And Correction (EDAC) is implemented on-chip. Each bank includes a plurality of interleaved single chip Static Random Access Memory (SRAM) cells with bit registers configured to interface with the interleaved SRAM cells. A first column multiplexer (MUX) configured to select which bit register is accessed. A second column multiplexer is configured to select an accessed byte with the WRITE burst or a READ burst from the selected bit registers of the first column multiplexer. EDAC logic is configured to check Error Correction Code (ECC) during a READ burst and generate ECC during an WRITE burst for SRAM writeback during a PRECHARGE command.

Abstract: A guidance assembly and method for guiding an ordnance to a target. The assembly can operated in navigation and targeting modes and has an imager/seeker including an objective lens assembly and an imaging sensor array which provide image data for mapping and terminal seeker performance. The imager/seeker is pivotally mounted on the ordnance. An actuator is coupled to the imager/seeker and can be actuated to pivot the imager/seeker relative to a longitudinal axis of the ordnance from a navigation position to a targeting position. A flight control unit communicates with the imager/seeker and the actuator, and has a processor which analyses the image data to provide navigation flight control signals for guiding the ordnance in the navigation mode of operation and determining a target direction via automatic target recognition or aimpoint algorithms for directing the ordnance to the target in the targeting mode of operation.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to a network system having multiple users, multiple inputs, and multiple outputs to transmit data from a data source through a link to a data sink. One example of a Multi-user multiple input multiple output (MU-MIMO) system relates to the use of primary transceivers and secondary transceivers in respective networks that effectuate data transmission. The primary transceivers are coupled with a data source and broadcast or transmit the data source signal to a plurality of secondary transceivers in a local area network. The signal is then transmitted over a long link to another set of secondary transceivers that then pass the signal to another primary transceiver. This another primary transceiver is coupled with the data sink to effectuate signal transmission to the data sink. The data is synchronized in manner that requires minimal processing and does not require closed loop phase control.

Abstract: An endfire antenna structure is disclosed that is for use on aerodynamic systems. The antenna structure includes a first layer of patterned metal, a second layer of patterned metal, and a stack of material layers that includes the first layer of patterned metal and the second layer of patterned metal. The first layer of patterned metal includes a plurality of parallel slots etched through the metal. The second layer of patterned metal includes a tapered radio frequency (RF) feedline having a narrow end coupled to an input/output (I/O) antenna connection. The second layer of patterned metal is aligned over the first layer of patterned metal such that the tapered RF feedline has a length that extends across the plurality of parallel slots. The stack of material layers is flexible such that the stack of material layers is configured to wrap at least partially around the fuselage of an aerodynamic system.
