Abstract:
An electrical adapter for identifying the connection state to a network is presented. The adapter comprises a first member and a second member. The first member comprises a male end that is substantially similar in shape to a connector plug, and which electrically connects to a wall outlet or a female receptacle. A first female end is disposed at another end of the first member, which includes a hollow cylinder member and a display window. The second member comprises a second female end which comprises a push latch and a mark for identifying a connection state to a network. When the second member is pushed forward, the second female end is engaged with the first female end via the push latch, and a display window displays the mark that identifies the electrical adapter's connection state to the network.
Abstract:
A connector mechanism includes a casing, a socket, a rotary cover and a resilient plate. An opening is formed on the casing. The resilient plate is connected to an inner side of the casing and the rotary cover for driving the rotary cover to rotate relative to the casing. The resilient plate includes a fixing portion fixed on the inner side of the casing, a driving portion resiliently connected to the fixing portion and the rotary cover for driving the rotary cover to rotate relative to the casing by deflection relative to the fixing portion, and a stopping portion disposed on the driving portion for stopping a tongue of a plug as the plug passes through the opening to connect with the socket, so as to fasten the plug.
Abstract:
A patch cord for an intelligent patching system is provided. The patch cord is a ten-wire patch cord having a patch panel plug and a switch plug. The patch panel plug contains ninth and tenth wire contacts that interface with ninth and tenth wire contacts of an intelligent patch panel port. The switch plug is provided with a plunger-style switch that enables the intelligent patch panel to determine when the switch plug is plugged into a switch port. The switch plug is also provided with LED's and circuitry that controls the LED's.
Abstract:
A twisted pair communications device and associated twisted pair communications system are disclosed. One twisted pair communications device includes a plurality of twisted pair connectors each associated with a different twisted pair communication channel, and a multi-channel connector communicatively connected to each of the plurality of twisted pair connectors. The multi-channel connector is configured to transmit and receive communication signals associated with each of the twisted pair communication channels on a multi-channel twisted pair cable and includes a plurality of wire pairs disposed in a plurality of rows within the connector. Fewer than all of the plurality of wire pairs are communicatively connected to twisted pair connectors, and wherein unassociated wire pairs in the multi-channel connector separate at least two groups of wire pairs associated with different twisted pair communication channels.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides for electrical connectors or jack assemblies/housings for use in voice/data communication systems. More particularly, the present disclosure provides for modular jack assemblies that include a movable locking member. The present disclosure provides for improved systems/designs for jack assemblies/housings that are easily secured and/or unsecured to or from a jack panel or jack faceplate. In exemplary embodiments, the present disclosure provides for convenient, low-cost and effective systems and methods for easily securing and/or unsecuring jack assemblies/housings to or from a jack panel/faceplate (e.g., in the field) by utilizing advantageous modular jack assemblies that include a movable locking member, and related assemblies.
Abstract:
An intelligent network patch field management system is provided that includes electronic hardware, firmware, mechanical assemblies, cables, and software that provide visible and audible cues for connecting and disconnecting patch cords in an interconnect or cross-connect patching environment. Systems of the present invention also monitor patch cord connections in a network.
Abstract:
A plug assembly includes a sleeve and a connector assembly. The sleeve includes a first axial end portion and a second axial end portion. The second axial end portion defines a plurality of channels. The connector assembly is engaged to the second axial end portion of the sleeve. The connector assembly includes a connector body, a plurality of contacts and a plug. The plurality of contacts is disposed in the connector body. Each of the plurality of contacts includes a first end and a second end. The first ends of the plurality of channels are disposed in the plurality of channels of the sleeve. The plug is engaged to the connector body. The plug includes a plurality of grooves through which the second ends of the plurality of contacts are accessible.
Abstract:
A telecommunications patch panel is provided having a plurality of connector modules rotatably mounted to a frame member. Each connector module has a front face and an opposite facing rear face, and each front face includes a plurality of connector jacks. Each rear face includes a plurality of wire termination blocks. The wire termination blocks are electrically connected to the connector jacks. Each connector module is rotatable about a rotation axis relative to the frame member. A lock selectively locks each connector module to the frame member as desired. The connector jacks and the connector modules are arranged in linear arrays perpendicular to the axis of rotation.
Abstract:
A connector arrangement includes a single-piece plug nose body defining a cavity in which a storage device is held. A cover for the cavity is attached to the plug nose body by a living hinge. Example storage devices include an EEPROM on a printed circuit board. The storage device is electrically isolated from primary contacts of the connector arrangement.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses to a faceplate with a dust-proof shutter (10). In one embodiment, the faceplate includes: a faceplate body (1); a connection port (4) provided in the faceplate body and adapted for plugging and unplugging; a dust-proof shutter for covering the connection port. The dust-proof shutter can move between a closed position and an opened position so that the connection port is switched between a closed state and an opened state; and a dust-proof shutter locating unit (30, 21, 22) is able to locate the dust-proof shutter in the closed position and the opened position respectively, in response to the action of the dust-proof shutter. Particularly, the dust-proof shutter can be held in an opened position where the connection port is in an opened state, and also the dust-proof shutter is capable of being timely returned to a closed position once the connection port needs to be closed.
