摘要: In one aspect, a sleeper bunk is provided that includes a support for a mattress. The support includes an assembly of support portions each having at least one surface arranged to support an underside of the mattress. The sleeper bunk includes at least one mount connected to the support and configured to facilitate movement of the support and the mattress thereon between a raised orientation and a lowered orientation. The support portions have overlapping portions configured to distribute a load from the mattress between the support portions.

摘要: In one aspect of the present disclosure, a method is provided for operating a vehicle system comprising a motor, a battery, and a controller. The vehicle system is configured to provide at least one of regenerative braking wherein the motor operates to charge the battery and propulsion wherein the motor uses electrical power from the battery to propel the vehicle. The method includes, at the controller, determining an effective motor power at a motor speed and a motor torque. The effective motor power is determined based at least in part on a calculated motor power and an electrical power loss of the motor corresponding to the motor speed and the motor torque. The method further includes causing the motor to apply the motor torque to a wheel of the vehicle upon the effective motor power satisfying an operating condition of the vehicle system.

摘要: A sensor is mounted to or embedded in a wheel hub. The sensor node includes a power source and a sensing device that detects and monitors at least one parameter associated with the wheel hub. The sensor node also includes a communication module that communicates via wireless communication signals and a processing device in communication with the sensing device and the communication module. The processing device collects data from the sensing devices, processes the data, and based on that processing, communicates information relating to the wheel hub to a remote server or network. A mesh network of multiple sensor nodes can be applied to multiple different wheel hubs on a vehicle and communicate with a central processing device. The processing device can thus monitor performance and/or operation of each wheel hub.

The baggage door includes a plastic outer panel for closing an opening of a vehicle and a hinge base configured to be mounted to a surface adjacent the opening. The baggage door further includes a plastic inner support having a hinge portion of the plastic inner support configured to pivotally connect to the hinge base. The inner support includes an arm portion extending away from the hinge portion for supporting the outer panel.

摘要: A disc brake assembly is provided that includes a camshaft extending from a slack adjuster. A disc brake rotor and a brake caliper bridge having an outer plate and an inner plate are provided. A brake caliper carrier is provided with an outer brake pad contained by the brake caliper carrier and an inner brake pad contained by the brake caliper carrier. A cam carrier having two openings is provided along with a pusher plate having a first surface in contact with the cam and a second surface in contact with the inner brake pad. A first and a second slide pin each extend through an opening in the cam carrier and an opening in the pusher plate and an opening in the inner plate of the brake caliper bridge and into the brake caliper carrier. A cam is mounted onto the camshaft such that rotation of the camshaft will rotate the cam, and the brake caliper bridge inner plate having a surface in contact with the cam. The brake caliper bridge outer plate having a surface in contact with the outer brake pad, such that upon rotation of the camshaft and the cam, the pusher plate adjusts the axial position of the inner brake pad and the brake caliper bridge outer plate adjusts the axial position of the outer brake pad, actuating the brake.

摘要: A heavy duty vehicle hubcap assembly is provided. The hubcap assembly includes a main section with flanges and flange holes for mounting to a wheel hub. The main section of the hubcap assembly also includes an opening to receive a plug assembly. The plug assembly is comprised of a main section, usually comprised of rubber, and a baffle section, usually comprised of a plastic material. The main section includes a restrictive opening to allow equalization of air pressure between the inside seal portion of the hub cap assembly and the atmosphere.

摘要: A wheel hub has inboard and outboard bearings separated by a spacer. A temporary alignment member is located against an inner surface of the spacer and an inner surface of the outboard bearing thus aligning the inner surfaces of the spacer and the bearing. A cap is located on an outboard surface of the hub to hold the outboard bearing in place. The cap includes a hole large enough for the alignment member to pass through. The hub may be easily mounted onto an axle merely by locating an inboard opening of the hub over the axle and sliding the hub onto the axle. As the axle enters the hub it eventually contacts the alignment member and begins moving the alignment member outward through the hole in the cap. As the alignment member moves outward the axle refills the space immediately vacated by the alignment member. The hub is then further pushed onto the axle so that the alignment member falls away and the axle protrudes through the hole in the cap. The cap is then removed and a nut is installed on the axle and tightened.
