A method for generating a downlink signal in a downlink MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) comprises the steps of: mapping at least one transport block to at least one codeword; mapping at least one layer to each codeword; classifying at least one layer mapped to each codeword into a certain number of layer groups and performing layer permutation by the layer groups; and generating an OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiplexing) symbol using a signal which is permutated by the layer groups. A CRC (Cyclic Redundancy Check) is attached by the layer groups.

Disclosed is a method for multiplexing control signals between a plurality of users when control signals for the plurality of users are allocated within one resource block. That is, a method for multiplexing control signals includes coding control signals for at least one user signals to correspond to a structure of a transmission block for the control signals among one or more dedicated resource block, multiplexing the control signals for the at least one user signals in the dedicated resource block, and transmitting the control signals, wherein the dedicated resource block is allocated for transmitting the control signals separately from data signals among a plurality of transmission resource blocks. A frequency division multiplexing (FDM) mode and a code division multiplexing (CDM) mode are used to multiplex the control signals for the plurality of users.

A resource allocation method for a Multicast and Broadcast Service (MBS) and a method for transmitting MBS data in a wireless access system are disclosed. The MBS transmission method for a multicast broadcast single frequency network (MBSFN) zone includes, constructing a resource zone by sequentially allocating predetermined symbol areas preferentially on a frequency axis, mapping predetermined MBSs provided from the MBSFN zone to the predetermined symbol areas, and transmitting a first MBS among the predetermined MBSs to mobile stations located at an edge of the MBSFN zone. The first MBS is equal to a second MBS among MBSs provided from a neighbor MBSFN zone. The first MBS and the second MBS are transmitted to the same time zone according to a time division multiplexing (TDM) method.

A method for performing a bandwidth request procedure in a wireless communication system includes receiving a bandwidth request sequence, which has been selected from a sequence set including a plurality of sequences, via a bandwidth request channel, and selecting a bandwidth request procedure to be performed from among a general bandwidth request procedure and a quick bandwidth request procedure, wherein the sequence set is divided into a plurality of sub-sets corresponding to the general bandwidth request procedure and the quick bandwidth request procedure. The bandwidth request procedure can be quickly and effectively performed.
Abstract:
Provided are a method and an apparatus for reporting a channel quality indicator (CQI) in a multi-node system. A terminal measures the CQI on the basis of a final interference power in which interference from at least one node among a plurality of nodes, from which the terminal receives signals, is reduced, and reports the measured CQI to a base station. Improvement of system performance, such as a data rate increase can be expected.

Provided is a signal transmitting method of a terminal in a multi-node system including and configured to control a plurality of nodes and a base station connected to each of the plurality of nodes. The method includes: estimating a channel of at least one node by receiving a reference signal from at least one node among the plurality of nodes; selecting a preferred rank and a precoding matrix index by applying at least one precoding matrix to the estimated channel; selecting one of a plurality of codeword-layer mappings (CLMs) by applying a precoding matrix indicated by the rank and the precoding matrix index; and transmitting the selected rank, the selected precoding matrix index, and a CLM indicator to the base station.

A method for avoiding an inter-cell interference (ICI) in a multi-cell environment is disclosed. The method includes restricting the use of a PMI in an interfering cell so as to improve a reception performance of a mobile station located at an interfered cell edge. The mobile station measures a restricted-PMI of the interfering cell, which is prohibited from use in the interfering cell, and transmits the measured restricted PMI to the interfering cell. The use of the restricted PMI is prohibited from use in a mobile station in the interfering cell.

There is provided a method of determining a Modulation and Coding Scheme (MCS). The method includes predicting an error rate of a symbol and determining a MCS of the symbol using the error rate. Since a MCS level is determined using an estimated error rate and user data is scheduled, multi-user diversity gain can be obtained and the transmission rate can be improved.

A method of transmitting channel quality indicator (CQI) includes obtaining CQI of each, of the plurality of sub-bands, selecting a first sub-band having the best CQI of the plurality of sub-bands, transmitting the best CQI of the first sub-band at a first transmission cycle and transmitting a difference value between the best CQI of the first sub-band and a CQI of the first sub-band at a second transmission cycle. Signalling overhead due to CQI transmission can be reduced.

Provided are a method and apparatus for allocating resources in a multi-node system that includes a plurality of nodes and a base station connected to each of the nodes to control the nodes. The method comprises: partitioning radio resources into a node-common region and a node-specific region, and allocating the node-common region and the node-specific region to the plurality of nodes, wherein a common resource allocation scheme is applied to the plurality of nodes in the node-common region, and different resource allocation schemes are applied to the plurality of nodes in the node-specific region.
