摘要: The disclosed technology includes a medical probe comprising a tubular shaft having a proximal end and a distal end, the tubular shaft extending along a longitudinal axis. The medical probe further comprises an expandable basket assembly coupled to the distal end of the tubular shaft. The basket assembly includes a plurality of electrodes with each electrode of the plurality of electrodes having a lumen therethrough. The basket assembly further includes a plurality of spines extending along the longitudinal axis and configured to bow radially outward from the longitudinal axis when the expandable basket assembly is transitioned from a collapsed form to an expanded form. Each spine includes a proximal and a distal end and a strut passing through the lumen of an electrode. The strut includes a mechanical retainer disposed on the strut to prevent the electrode from sliding proximally or distally along a length of the spine.

摘要: A system for electrophysiological measurement includes a probe having a distal end configured for insertion into a body cavity of a living subject and including an array of electrodes that are disposed along the distal end and are configured to contact tissue at multiple locations within the body cavity. A processor is configured to acquire signals from the electrodes over a period of time during which the probe moves within the body cavity, to compute, in response the signals, metrics that are indicative of a respective quality of contact between each of the electrodes and the tissue over the period of time, and to output an indication of the metrics to a user of the system.

摘要: The disclosed technology includes an apparatus to a grip a catheter shaft including a body including a proximal end extending along a central axis to a distal end. The body can include a first handle portion, a second handle portion, and a catheter shaft grip aperture. The first handle portion can define a first recess extending along the central axis of the body from the proximal end to the distal end. The second handle portion can define a second recess extending along the central axis of the body from the proximal end to the distal end such that the first recess is aligned with the second recess. The catheter shaft grip aperture can extend along the central axis of the body from the proximal end to the distal end, be formed from the alignment of the first recess and the second recess, and be sized to receive a catheter shaft.

摘要: Methods, devices, and systems for acquiring the volume of a catheter are disclosed. The system may comprise a catheter and a processor. The processor may be configured to receive a voxel grid comprising a plurality of voxels and a plurality three-dimensional coordinates of a location of a catheter. The processor may render the catheter on a display using the three-dimensional coordinates, wherein the catheter rendering comprises a plurality of shaded pixels. The processor may identify coordinates of one or more voxels of the voxel grid which overlap with at least one shaded pixel and mark the voxels of the voxel grid which overlap with at least one shaded pixel. As such, a voxel trail may be created wherever a catheter moves. The voxel trail may be used to define an internal volume within which the catheter is positioned, such as a chamber of a heart, blood vessel, or valve.

摘要: Described embodiments include a system that includes a radiofrequency-current (RF-current) generator and a processor. The processor is configured to cause the RF-current generator to generate a plurality of pulses of RF current for application to tissue of a subject, each of the pulses having a power whose maximum value is greater than 80 W and a duration that is less than 10 s, and an intermission between successive ones of the pulses being less than 10 s. The processor is further configured to, while each one of the pulses is applied to the tissue, receive at least one signal that indicates a measured temperature of the tissue, and, in response to the measured temperature, control the power of the pulse. Other embodiments are also described.

摘要: A delivery sheath to catheter coupler includes a cylindrical shaft and a coupling member. The cylindrical shaft extends along an axis and is configured for longitudinal alignment with an insertion port of a catheter delivery sheath. The cylindrical shaft includes a proximal end, a distal end, and a lumen extending from the proximal end to the distal end along the axis. The lumen is sized to receive an end effector of a catheter. The coupling member is attached to the cylindrical shaft and is configured for selective securement to the catheter delivery sheath. The coupling member is configured to align the axis of the lumen with a longitudinal axis of the insertion port when the coupling member is selectively secured to the catheter delivery sheath.

The expandable distal-end assembly is coupled to the shaft and to an apex of the catheter, and includes multiple splines. In at least a given spline among the multiple splines, at least sixty percent of a length of the given spline is non-insulated and is configured to make contact with tissue of the organ and to apply radiofrequency (RF) pulses to the tissue. The one or more electrodes are coupled to at least one of (i) an insulated section of one or more of the splines, and (ii) the apex, and, when placed in contact with the tissue, the one or more electrodes are configured to sense electrical signals in the tissue.

摘要: A system includes an interface and a processor. The interface is configured to receive a lesion parameter indicative of a specification of a lesion intended to be formed in tissue of an organ using at least one of first and second ablation modes intended to be applied sequentially to multiple sections of the tissue. The processor is configured to (i) select, for the first and second ablation modes, first and second sets of parameters, respectively, that when applied to the tissue, form the lesion having the lesion parameter, (ii) detect, for a section selected among the multiple sections, whether the first or second ablation mode has been selected, and (iii) control a catheter having at least an ablation electrode, to apply to the section ablation signals that are based on the selected ablation mode and are corresponding to the first or second ablation modes.
