摘要: A system including a medical probe having a tube with a distal end for insertion into a cardiac chamber, an electrode at the distal end that conveys energy to myocardial tissue, a temperature sensor at the distal end that outputs a signal indicating a temperature of the tissue, a channel contained within the tube that delivers fluid to the distal end, and a fluid port at the distal end and coupled to the channel. The system also includes a generator that applies a specified level of the energy to the electrode, a pump that forces the fluid into the channel at a controllable rate, and a processor that controls the rate responsively to the signal so that a difference between a specified temperature, which is no greater than 55° C., and the indicated temperature is no greater than ±2.5° C. while the generator applies a constant level of the energy.

摘要: A system includes an expandable distal end of a catheter and a processor. The expandable distal end has multiple electrodes that are configured to be placed in contact with a tissue in an organ and to apply ablative power to tissue. The processor is configured to, during application of the ablative power, determine whether a physical contact between the electrodes and tissue meets a predefined contact quality, and, if the physical contact of an electrode among the electrodes with the tissue does not meet the predefined contact quality, re-use the electrode for electrophysiological (EP) sensing.

摘要: Described embodiments include a system and method for pulsed RF ablation that includes generating a plurality of pulses of radiofrequency (RF) current for application to tissue of a subject for cardiac ablation, driving the RF each one of the pulses such that the power of the pulse initially rises from zero to a maximum value, each one of the pulses having a duration from a start point in time to an end point in time, and an intermission between the end point and the start point of successive pulses, receiving at least one signal from a temperature sensor configured to measure a temperature of the tissue being ablated and controlling the power of the plurality of pulses to fractionally change the power of each of the pulses between the start point and end point in response to the measured temperature of the tissue being ablated.

摘要: A medical system includes an ultrasound probe configured for insertion into an organ of a body, and a processor. 摘要: A system for computing an electro-anatomical (EA) map of signals from tissue inside a chamber of a patient's includes a processor and a display. The processor receives electro-physiological (EP) signals from a plurality of electrodes on a distal end assembly of a catheter placed in the chamber, selects a contiguous sub-group of the plurality of electrodes and applies a consistency test to the EP signals acquired by the contiguous sub-group to determine if the EP signals from the sub-group of the electrodes display a common cycle length. When the consistency test is successful, the processor identifies a region in the chamber from which the EP signals have been acquired. The display renders an electro-anatomical (EA) map of the chamber and provides indicating on the rendered display of the region.

摘要: A pump includes a cylinder, a piston and a controller. The cylinder has first and second ends and includes first and second inlet-outlet ports, each of the first and second inlet-outlet ports is configured to alternately intake a fluid to the cylinder and output the fluid from the cylinder. The piston is configured to be moved within the cylinder between the first and second ends by alternately reversing a direction of movement of the piston, so as to pump the fluid through the first and second inlet-outlet ports. The controller is configured to control the movement of the piston within the cylinder, including: (a) choosing between first and second operational modes, (b) in the first operational mode, controlling the piston to oscillate over a predefined interval that does not exceed a predefined distance from the first end or from the second end, and (c) in the second operational mode, controlling the piston to move at a selected speed between the first end and the second end.
