Abstract:
There is provided a vehicle comprising a chassis, two surface-engaging front wheels, at least one surface-engaging rear wheel and a propulsion unit for driving either the front wheels or the rear wheel or wheels. Each front wheel being connected to the chassis by means of a front wheel support assembly, wherein the front wheel support assembly comprises a hydraulic cylinder associated with each front wheel. Each hydraulic cylinder comprises a housing connected to one of the chassis and the front wheel support assembly, and a piston connected to the other of the front wheel support assembly and the chassis. The piston is moveable within the housing and arranged to divide the hydraulic cylinder into first and second chambers each having respective ports arranged to allow hydraulic fluid to enter and exit the respective chamber, the ports of the first chambers of each hydraulic cylinder being in fluid communication and the ports of the second chambers of each hydraulic cylinder being in fluid communication such that movement of hydraulic fluid from the first or second chamber of one hydraulic cylinder to the respective first or second chamber of the other hydraulic cylinder displaces the pistons of the hydraulic cylinders in opposing directions relative to the respective housings to enable the vehicle to tilt.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method, system and computer-readable storage medium storing instructions for facilitating consistent application of price polices on every sales transaction supported through a customer relationship management system, in order to identify price exceptions in violation of stated corporate pricing objectives. Having such capabilities coupled with a customer relationship management system enables embodiments of the present invention to reduce the time to identify and evaluate price exceptions that impact revenue and margin. Agents responsible for sales interaction with customers can immediately identify violations of price policies. Those responsible for authorizing exceptions can easily determine the effect of those exceptions upon impacted markets.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are techniques for providing a user interface component. In some implementations, a request for the user interface component may be received at a computing device. The user interface component may have a default visual presentation. A branding override may be selected from a plurality of available branding overrides. The branding override may define a modification to the default visual presentation of the user interface component. The branding override may be selected based on one or more contextual variables associated with the request for the user interface component. The user interface component may be modified in accordance with the selected branding override. The user interface component may be displayed on a display device.
Abstract:
According to one example of the present invention, there is provided, a method of accessing a service. The method comprising: receiving, from a requesting user, a request for a number of accessing users to have access to the service, generating service access data associated with the service, providing, to the requesting user, the generated service access data for distribution to the accessing users, receiving, from an accessing user, service access data, determining, based in part on the received service access data, whether the service can be provided, and where it is so determined, providing the service to the accessing.
Abstract:
According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, a method includes receiving a query from a user, the query requesting access to a database object in a first database table, the database object comprising a first column and a second column. The method also includes determining whether the user is authorized to access the database object based on the first column, and determining whether the user is authorized to access the database object based on the second column. The method further includes allowing the user to access to database object in response to determining the user is authorized to access the database object based on the first column or the second column.
Abstract:
A method and device for continuously testing the tensile strength of an optical fiber, wherein the incoming optical fiber is wrapped at least partially around a payout capstan, to an intermediate payout pulley, at least partially around the intermediate payout pulley, and back to the payout capstan. The optical fiber is then wound from the payout capstan to a tensile testing measurement component, and then to an uptake capstan. The optical fiber is wrapped at least partially around the uptake capstan, to an intermediate uptake pulley, at least partially around the intermediate uptake pulley, and back to the uptake capstan. The payout capstan and uptake capstan are operated at a desired rotational speed to continuously advance the optical fiber for tensile strength testing.
Abstract:
A handle for a wand of a vacuum cleaning appliance includes a handgrip portion and a conduit for receiving an air flow. The handle includes an aperture for admitting ambient air into the conduit. A first valve occludes a first portion of the aperture, and a second valve occludes a second portion of the aperture. A control mechanism moves the first and second valves away from the aperture to admit ambient air into the conduit. To reduce the force required to move the valves away from the aperture, the control mechanism is configured to move the second valve away from the second portion of the aperture before moving the first valve away from the first portion of the aperture.
Abstract:
The invention relates to functionalized lignin, rubber compositions which contain functionalized lignin and to products which have at least one component comprised of such rubber composition.
Abstract:
A composite frame includes a plurality of truss elements covered by a cap. The truss elements are flexibly coupled with each other and with the cap. The frame flexes to conform to a contoured surface to which it is attached. Once attached, the installed frame provides the required rigidity to the structure.
