Abstract: A driving assistance apparatus including a display part and a microprocessor. The microprocessor is configured to perform controlling a travel actuator so that a subject vehicle follows a preceding vehicle while keeping a target inter-vehicle distance, acquiring traffic light information including switching information on a traffic light, position information of the subject vehicle with respect to the traffic light, and inter-vehicle distance information on an inter-vehicle distance from the subject vehicle to the preceding vehicle, and controlling the display part so as to notify the driver of information during following the preceding vehicle based on the traffic light information, the position information and the inter-vehicle distance information, and the controlling including controlling the display part so as to notify information on a recommended inter-vehicle distance allowing the subject vehicle to travel while following the preceding vehicle without receiving a stop instruction from the traffic light.

Abstract: A vehicle brake system includes a first fluid pressure generating device for generating a fluid pressure according to a brake operating amount, a second fluid pressure generating device for generating a fluid pressure by moving a piston with an electric actuator, and a switching valve switchable between a first state allowing communication between the first fluid pressure generating device and a vehicle behavior stabilizing device and a second state allowing communication between the second fluid pressure generating device and the vehicle behavior stabilizing device. A control device places the switching valve in the second state during execution of automatic brake control, and places the switching valve in the first state when a predetermined abnormality occurs in the vehicle, except that the control device places the switching valve in the second state when an abnormality including inability of the second fluid pressure generating device to generate the fluid pressure occurs.

Abstract: An air exhausting method of a vehicle brake system is provided. The air exhausting method of the vehicle brake system includes: a first step of actuating a slave cylinder on a pressurization side in a state where a switching valve communicates the slave cylinder with a brake fluid pressure control device, so that air retained in a passage section from the slave cylinder to the brake fluid pressure control device is exhausted from an air exhausting hole; a second step of actuating the slave cylinder on a depressurization side after the first step in a state where the air exhausting hole is closed, so that air retained in a bypass passage moves toward the passage section; and performing the first step again after the second step, so that air moved from the bypass passage to the passage section is exhausted from the air exhausting hole.

Abstract: A blade control assembly for a lawnmower can include a controller configured to selectively transition between a sleep mode and an operational mode. The controller can be configured to transition from the sleep mode to the operational mode when the controller receives a first ON signal. The controller can be configured to cause a power source to transition from an idle state in which a blade of the lawnmower is stopped to a driving state in which the power source rotationally drives the blade when the controller receives the first ON signal and a second ON signal. The controller can be configured to cause the power source to stop rotation of the blade and cause to power source to transition to the idle state after the second ON signal terminates, and can be configured to transition from the operational mode to the sleep mode after the second ON signal terminates.

Abstract: The disclosure allows an occupant to control a vehicle as needed for the vehicle that automatically moves to a destination. An inverted pendulum type vehicle that travels while balancing an inverted pendulum type body includes: an operation input part that receives a driving operation of its own vehicle by a weight shift of an occupant; and a movement control part that causes the own vehicle to start automatic movement on a predetermined route at a predetermined time. The movement control part allows the own vehicle to deviate from the predetermined route and travel in a second direction when a weight shift greater than a threshold value is performed in the second direction other than a traveling direction related to the predetermined route during execution of the automatic movement.

Abstract: A vehicle control system includes a plurality of slave ECUs, and a core ECU including a gateway function for relaying data communication among the plurality of slave ECUs and between the plurality of slave ECUs and an external apparatus. The vehicle control system accepts operation requests from a plurality of systems that makes a request for an operation to an operating unit equipped in a vehicle and performing an operation based on an operation request. The operation requests from the plurality of systems include at least a request from the external apparatus or a request from a function added to the core ECU by the external apparatus. When operation requests from the plurality of systems are accepted, the core ECU performs arbitration for the operation requests from the plurality of systems and transmits an arbitration result to at least one of the plurality of slave ECUs.

Abstract: A vehicle control apparatus includes a microprocessor configured to perform generating an action plan so that the subject vehicle moves from a first lane to a second lane when it is determined that the lane change is necessary. The target route includes a specific road in which the second lane is separated from the first lane up to a first point ahead of a current position, the second lane is adjacent to the first lane from the first point to a second point ahead of the first point, and the second lane is separated from the first lane again behind the second point. The action plan is generated so that the lane change is performed in a section from the first point to the second point, and the lane change is started from a position away from the first point by a predetermined distance ahead.
