Abstract:
A catalytic system for CO removal includes a gold (Au) catalyst and a co-catalyst in contact with an aqueous phase, and a fuel cell system using the same. The catalytic system is relatively very simple compared to a common CO removal system, and can highly efficiently remove CO at low temperature without side reaction. In addition, water contacted in the catalytic system can act as a buffer for the rise and fall of temperature, and thus, can cope with an accidental temperature change. Further, the catalytic system shows a low operation temperature, and thus, can be operated over a broad operation range considering the activity and/or selectivity of the gold catalyst, etc.
Abstract:
A zeolite adsorbent for desulfurization and a method of preparing the same. More particularly, a zeolite adsorbent for desulfurization in which the relative crystallinity of Y zeolite that is ion exchanged with Ag is 45% to 98%, and a method of preparing the same. The zeolite adsorbent for desulfurization has excellent crystallinity over the known zeolite adsorbent for desulfurization, and thus has better performance of adsorbing sulfur compounds though it contains less Ag. Accordingly, when the sulfur compounds of a fuel gas are removed by employing the zeolite adsorbent for desulfurization, a desulfurizing device that is bettereven with less cost can be constructed.
Abstract:
Diabetic nephropathy and microalbuminuria are treated with the herb Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix. In one embodiment, the method includes boiling the herb to form an aqueous extract. The aqueous extract is administered to the diabetic individual to treat diabetic nepliropathy or to an individual exhibiting microalbuminuria. Alternatively the method can include administering a salt of lithospermic acid extracted from the herb. The method can include determining the level of protein in urine before, during and/or after administering the aqueous extract or a salt of lithospermic acid.
Abstract:
Profiling systems and methods of creating and using user interest profiles are described. In some example embodiments, the method includes: creating a topic set which includes topics which are organized in a hierarchical structure which includes a plurality of topic levels including an upper topic level and a lower topic level, each topic in the lower topic level being a subtopic of at least one of the topics in the upper topic level; monitoring interest in a plurality of documents for a user to identify one or more documents-of-interest to the user; and based on the monitored interest for the user, creating an interest profile for the user by determining a measure of topical interest for the user for at least one of the topics at the upper topic level and for a subtopic of that topic, the subtopic being at the lower topic level.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a light-emitting fabric, in which acrylic optical fibers and general fibers are woven together, and light is emitted to the surface of the fabric through the optical fibers floating on the surface of the union fabric. According to the present invention, part of the clad portion of the optical fibers is removed by melting so as to prevent the total reflection of the clad portion and to emit high-brightness patterns or characters having a higher brightness than those emitted by optical fibers having a conventional clad portion. Also, a semi-circular core portion is flattened so as to prevent the light from being refracted unnecessarily, and thus the high-brightness light-emitting fabric which can express complex patterns or characters at a higher resolution without emitting environmental pollutants can be provided.

Abstract:
An operation method of a display driver includes generating a count value by counting a period of a synchronization signal related to a synchronization packet received from a host, receiving a mode change command from the host, the mode change command indicating a change from a video mode transmitting first image data to a display by bypassing a frame memory to a command mode transmitting second image data to the display through the frame memory, and generating an internal synchronization signal having a period substantially equal to the period of the synchronization signal by using the count value based on the mode change command after a last pulse of the synchronization signal is generated. A time interval between the last pulse and a first pulse of the internal synchronization signal is equal to the period of the synchronization signal.
Abstract:
A laser cutting method includes providing a multi-layered substrate, such that the multi-layered substrate includes a circuit pattern between stacked first and second substrates, and removing a part of the second substrate by irradiating a laser beam on the second substrate, the laser beam being irradiated at an oblique angle with respect to an upper surface of the second substrate.
