Abstract: The present invention proposes a method and associated device for inserting tuples into a watermarked database without having to remove the watermarking from all or a part of the database before inserting each tuple. To achieve this, the invention consists of storing, in watermarking metadata, the type of group or class wherein the tuples of the database have been distributed during the watermarking of the database. For each type of group or class, a rule defining a modification of the value of at least one property on which the watermarking is carried is also stored in the watermarking metadata, depending on an insertion force parameter. Each tuple to be inserted is watermarked by applying the modification rule according to the group to which the tuple belongs. Due to the rule used, the insertion of the watermarked tuple does not modify the type of group it belongs to.

Abstract: Systems and associated methods of performing coherent optical communication of quantum information between an emitter A and a distant receiver B are provided, using a local local oscillator. Examples of LLO-based Continuous-Variable Quantum Key Distribution are described. Self-coherent schemes are used, the schemes consisting in deriving both signal and phase reference pulses from the same optical pulse thus ensuring an intrinsic strong signal to reference phase coherence. Different CV-QKD designs implementing various self-coherence phase sharing schemes are described and compared in terms of secret key rate and hardware requirements. Strong phase noise resilience can be obtained with standard telecom equipment such as low cost lasers.

The decoder determines at least one estimate of vector of information symbols from an auxiliary signal and from the upper triangular matrix corresponding to a selected auxiliary channel matrix by applying a decoding algorithm.

Abstract: A method for processing a digital image for rendering on a display. The method includes: determining information representative of image brightness perceived by an observer, based on the values of the first luminance component; calculating an expansion exponent as a function of the determined brightness information; transforming the first luminance components into second luminance components, including calculating an intermediate luminance value by applying the calculated expansion exponent to the first luminance component value and multiplying the intermediate value by the length of the second interval. The expansion exponent is a decreasing function of the determined brightness information.

The first and second passive microrings resonators provide an optical feedback to the laser gain section and allow to select the desired wavelength. The laser structure can be implemented according to a III-V/Si technology.
