摘要: A method for transforming a two-dimensional graphic image into a two-dimensional distorted image which can then be used to recreate an accurate representation of the two-dimensional graphic image when applied onto a 3D surface. The method includes the steps of producing and identifying a target 3D grid from a plurality of flat polymer webs each having a grid pattern printed thereon, the target 3D grid bearing an accurate representation of the 3D surface. The three-dimensional shape of the target grid is then digitized to form a geometric model of the target grid as a series of data points. Creating a uniform smooth 3D model from the series of data points and then texture mapping the two-dimensional graphic image onto the uniform smooth 3D model to create a texture map. The two-dimensional distorted image is then created from the texture map and the two-dimensional graphic image.

摘要: Methods, apparatus, and articles of manufacture for tax computation, management, and compliance reporting via a centralized transactional tax platform capable of incorporating transaction data and/or tax information from multiple locations and/or multiple business applications via a network architecture are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a central server may be configured to execute an application to generate a user interface to enable configuration of tax compliance data via a network link, to receive transaction data from one or more client systems via the network, to calculate transaction taxes corresponding to the transaction data, and to store tax information, including outputs and computational logic generated by tax calculation engines executed by the server. In another embodiment, the tax calculations may be executed client-side, while administration of tax compliance data and reporting are facilitated by the central server.

摘要: A ratchet wrench has a drive-stud element with a drive stud at a first end and a drive recess at a second end. The drive-stud element is coupled with a one-way drive transmitting wheel to rotate in unison therewith about an axis. The wrench can have a centering element that resists movement of the one-way drive transmitting wheel in at least one direction away from the axis. The drive-stud element and the one-way drive transmitting wheel can be separately formed. A method is also disclosed for operating a ratchet wrench with a drive-stud element with a drive stud at a first end and a drive recess at a second end.

摘要: The present invention relates generally to systems and methods for assessing blood flow in blood vessels, for assessing vascular health, for conducting clinical trials, for screening therapeutic interventions for adverse effects, and for assessing the effects of risk factors, therapies and substances, including therapeutic substances, on blood vessels, especially cerebral blood vessels, all achieved by measuring various parameters of blood flow in one or more vessels and analyzing the results in a defined manner. The relevant parameters of blood flow include mean flow velocity, systolic acceleration, and pulsatility index. By measuring and analyzing these parameters, one can ascertain the vascular health of a particular vessel, multiple vessels and an individual. Such measurements can also determine whether a substance has an effect, either deleterious or advantageous, on vascular health. The present invention further provides an expert system for achieving the above.
