Abstract: A method includes receiving electroencephalographic (EEG) signal data recordings collected from a plurality of individuals via at least one EEG monitoring device. An optimized plurality of wavelet packet atoms is constructed based on the EEG signal data recordings and a mother wavelet. The optimized plurality of wavelet packet atoms is reordered to obtain an optimal reordered set of wavelet packet atoms. The optimal reordered set of wavelet packet atoms is normalized to obtain an optimal normalized set of wavelet packet atoms that is representative of brain activities of the plurality of individuals. A particular EEG signal data recording of a particular individual is received, which is projected onto the optimal normalized set of wavelet packet atoms to obtain an individual-specific set of projections for the particular individual on the optimal normalized set of wavelet packet atoms. A brain activity representation of the particular individual is generated based on the individual-specific set of projections.

Abstract: Systems and methods for treating a subject with a psychiatric disorder are provided in which a therapy session is conducted. In the therapy session, each respective expression image in a plurality of expression images is sequentially displayed. Each expression image is independently associated with an expression. The successive display of images is construed as a tiled series of expression image subsets, each consisting of N expression images. Upon completion of the display of each respective subset, the user is challenged as to whether the first and the last images in the respective subset exhibit the same emotion. A score is determined for the respective subset based on whether the subject learned to respond correctly. The number of images in each subset is adjusted to a new number based on these scores. A treatment regimen is prescribed to the subject for the psychiatric disorder based at least in part on the scores.

Abstract: Methods, devices and systems are described for evaluating an initial orthostatic response of an individual during an orthostatic test. For example, the method may include: receiving a pulse signal obtained during an orthostatic test performed from a sensor placed on the individual; identifying a position and an amplitude of the dicrotic notch for pulses in a portion of the pulse signal to obtain a set of dicrotic notch positions and amplitudes; generating an initial orthostatic response curve from the set of dicrotic notch positions and amplitudes; evaluating the initial orthostatic response curve to obtain an assessment of the initial orthostatic response; and displaying, storing and/or transmitting at least one of the initial orthostatic response curve and a visual representation of the assessment of the initial orthostatic response curve.

Abstract: The various examples of the present disclosure are directed towards systems and methods for diagnosing brain health. An exemplary system includes a microscope, a processor, and a memory. The microscope outputs image data of a cornea of a patient. The memory has a plurality of stored code sections, which, when executed by the processor, include instructions for analyzing cornea image data to determine brain health. The instructions begin with receiving cornea image data from the microscope. The instructions then provide for determining at least one marker from the received cornea image data. The instructions then provide for outputting a brain health diagnosis based on the at least one marker.
