摘要： An agricultural baler for making cylindrical bales of crop material having a sledge assembly moveable between bale starting and full bale positions. The sledge assembly includes a plurality of rollers which cooperate with an apron to define a bale forming chamber. A dispensing mechanism is carried on the sledge assembly for dispensing sheet material, such as net or the like, into the bale forming chamber whereupon it is wrapped circumferentially around a cylindrical bale of crop material in the bale forming chamber. A net supply assembly is associated with the dispensing mechanism to provide net for feeding into the bale chamber via the dispensing mechanism. Included in the net supply assembly is a net brake for restraining the net during various parts of the wrapping process, e.g, cutting. The brake is operated in cooperation with a counter arrangement that includes an idler roll in continuous contact with the surface of the net supply roll.

摘要： An agricultural baler for making cylindrical bales of crop material having a sledge assembly moveable between bale starting and full bale positions. The sledge assembly includes a plurality of rollers which cooperate with an apron to define a bale forming chamber. A dispensing mechanism is carried on the sledge assembly for dispensing web material into the bale forming chamber whereupon it is wrapped circumferentially around a cylindrical package of crop material. A net supply assembly is associated with the dispensing mechanism to provide net for feeding into the bale chamber via the dispensing mechanism. Included along the feed path of the net is a net severing assembly for cutting the net after it has been wrapped around the cylindrical hay package. The net severing assembly includes a free falling cutting element for operatively engaging the net prior to entry into the chamber. A control arrangement prevents the severing assembly from operating at a time when it would have a deleterious effect on baler operation.

摘要： A machine for continuously forming roll bales of crop material has a lower apron and forward and rearward upper aprons cooperating to define front and rear bale forming chambers. Pivoting arms move the forward upper apron between various positions during bale formation. Ramps extend upwardly above the lower apron in an operative position, and the ramps are also movable to an inoperative position. An actuator mechanism is interconnected between the arms and the ramps to cause movement of the ramps between the operative and inoperative positions in response to movement of the forward upper apron between its various positions.

摘要： An apparatus for cutting an edging trench around a landscape bed is constructed with a cutting blade that is rotated to help move the apparatus in the desired direction of travel while being operated to create an edging trench. The machine can be constructed in self-propelled, non-self-propelled or manually operated stick forms. The apparatus has a cutting blade that is configured in a cone-shaped manner with the narrow diameter located toward the center of the apparatus. The rotor is formed with a pair of thin slicing blades mounted on a spline shaft removable from the apparatus for maintenance. A first slicing blade shears the grass along the top of the trench and forms a vertical wall, while a second slicing blade forms a sloped wall. Displaced soil is discharged from the cutting blade and spread directly over the adjacent landscape bed to eliminate the need for subsequent clean-up operations.

The baler has a main frame, a pair of side walls, a crop pickup mounted on the main frame, and a tailgate pivotally connected to the main frame. The tailgate is operative between a closed position during which a bale is being formed in an expandable chamber, and an open position during which a formed bale is being discharged from the chamber. A sledge assembly, pivotally mounted on the main frame for movement between a bale starting position and a full bale position, has crop engaging transverse rollers for urging the crop material along a spiral path in the chamber for starting and forming a bale. A apron is supported along a continuous path on the main frame and tailgate by a plurality of rotatable guide members. The path has an inner course that cooperates with the sledge rolls on the sledge assembly to define moveable walls of the chamber. A drive roll moves the apron along the continuous path. A take up assembly moves with the sledge assembly between the bale starting position and full bale position to provide slack in the apron under conditions where the tailgate is moved from its closed position to its open position.
