Abstract:
A motorized roller shade includes a shade tube, including an outer surface upon which a shade is attached, an inner surface defining an inner cavity and two end portions, a motor/controller unit, disposed within the shade tube inner cavity and mechanically coupled to the shade tube inner surface, including a support shaft configured to attach to a mounting bracket, and a DC motor having an output shaft coupled to the support shaft such that the output shaft and the support shaft do not rotate when the support shaft is attached to the mounting bracket. A wireless receiver is coupled to the motor/controller unit to receive wireless signals and an antenna is arranged on or in at least one of the two end portions.
Abstract:
A method of absorbing gases into a liquid comprising providing a stream of at least one desirable gas and at least one undesirable gas, exposing the gas stream to a liquid, so that the liquid absorbs more of the desirable gas than the undesirable gas, and releasing the liquid and gas mixture into an underground formation.
Abstract:
Ammonia oxidizers are disclosed that can include gas distributors and distribution rings to improve the distribution of the flow of a gas feedstream across a catalyst bed in the ammonia oxidizer. The gas distributors include circular plates that have holes through which the gas feedstream is distributed across the catalyst bed. In some examples, the gas distributors also have a sidewall. The distribution rings are attached to the inner wall of the ammonia oxidizer at a predetermined distance below the gas distributor.
Abstract:
Various detachable firearm mounting bracket device embodiments are provided. According to an embodiment, a detachable mounting bracket is adapted to allow users of various weapons platforms and support devices to rapidly and securely attach support devices, e.g., bipods and tripods, to a firearm in tandem. A detachable mounting bracket can comprise a housing to attach to a firearm forend, a clamping mechanism to secure the housing to a firearm, and a rail interface adapted to receive a plurality of adapters. The detachable mounting bracket device can be attached to a firearm with a clamp, screw closure, and a vertical interlock clamp. After the detachable mounting bracket is attached to a firearm, a user can easily and rapidly secure a support device to the rail interface using a plurality of adapters. Other aspects, features, and embodiments are also claimed and described.
Abstract:
A method reduces a paging zone for a mobile station in a wireless communication system. The wireless communication system includes a plurality of base stations capable of supporting a plurality of application types. A radius of the paging zone is determined. A location update for the mobile station is received. A call setup request for the mobile station is received. The call setup request is associated with an application type. The radius of the paging zone is reduced based on the application type, a speed of the mobile station and an amount of time elapsed since receiving the location update.
Abstract:
A serrated kneading disk including a body having a perimeter that is an ellipse having truncated ends, the curved elliptical portions forming flanks and the truncated ends forming crests. The crests are curved to form the arc of a circle having a radius substantially the same as the radius of the bore of the extruder barrel with which the disk is to be used. The disk body has a cylindrical passageway extending through the middle thereof, the passageway having a configuration adapted to allow the kneading disks to be lockingly engaged on the shaft of an extruder screw. A plurality of grooves are formed in the flanks and crests. A serrated kneading block can be formed from a plurality of the serrated kneading disks, or formed as a single body having a plurality of lobes, each lobe being substantially identical to the serrated kneading disk.
Abstract:
The subject disclosure pertains to code generation patterns for use in object relational mapping. The code patterns may be used to manage bidirectional relationships and ensure consistency. The code patterns may support on-demand or deferred loading of relational data. Change detection and tracking are also provided. In addition, a default member modifier allows developers to override tool generated source code without directly modifying the generated source code.
Abstract:
Systems and methods that enable consistent navigation (for a database and memory environment) in object relational mapping. This typically ensures fidelity of object graph via restrictions on collections of persistent objects (e.g., entity sets, entity refs . . . ). Moreover, a tracking component can detect changes as they occur, and only a copy of the objects that have changed can be created, to optimize operation.
