摘要: A luminaire arrangement for providing a luminous flux in a target direction (z) comprising a light guide (101), multiple light sources (103) arranged at said light guide for emitting light into said light guide, out coupling means (106) arranged at said light guide and adapted to direct light out from said light guide; and a cover layer (102) arranged in front of said light guide at the side where light it to be directed out, said cover layer being provided with at least one optically transparent area (104) such that light directed out from said light guide is allowed to pass said cover layer. The cover layer allows for use of the same or similar light guide, light sources and out coupling means in a number of different luminaire applications, where each application may have different requirements on e.g. appearance, and/or collimation and/or directivity of the luminous flux.

摘要: A method, for controlling color output of a variable color lighting system (1) capable of emitting light within a color gamut, comprising the steps of receiving (10) a request for a target color (T), converting the target color (T) to a set of lighting system control parameters, and applying (15) the set of lighting system control parameters, thereby controlling the color output of the lighting system (1). The step of converting comprises the steps of determining (11) a target set (DT) of lighting system control parameters corresponding to the target color (T), evaluating (12) the target set (Dτ) of lighting system control parameters with respect to a range of allowable control parameters, thereby determining whether the target color (T) is outside the color gamut, and, when the target color (T) is outside the color gamut, determining (14) an approximation set (DA) of control parameters, the approximation set corresponding to an output color (A1; A2) within the color gamut, the output color (A1; A2) being an approximation of the target color (T).

摘要: The present invention relates to a control system (10; 30; 50) for a LED luminary (12) including a plurality of LED light sources of multiple colors for producing a mixed color light. The control system comprises means (22) for controlling the LED light sources in accordance with a difference between set point values representing a desired light output and first control data provided by at least one optical sensor (14; 32) responsive to a property of the light produced by the LED light sources. The control system is characterized by means (26; 38) for compensating said set point values in accordance with second control data provided by a temperature sensor (24) responsive to the temperature of the optical sensor(s) (14; 32). The additional temperature sensor makes it possible to compensate for changes in the spectral sensitivity of the optical sensor(s), whereby the color stability of the LED luminary with integrated optical sensors can be increased. The invention also relates to a corresponding control method.

摘要: A lighting assembly (100) configured to be mechanically and electrically connected to a socket (150), the lighting assembly comprising a lighting module (102) comprising a light source (106), electrical contacting means (108) electrically connected to the light source and a heat spreader (110) in thermal contact with the light source; and a connector (104) being rotatable in relation to the lighting module (102). The connector comprises connector locking means (119) for locking the lighting assembly to a socket through interaction with receiving locking means comprised in the socket when the lighting module is axially inserted into the socket and the connector is rotated relative to the lighting module and the socket, thereby bringing the electrical contacting means (108) into contact with corresponding receiving contacting means (122) comprised in the socket. Hereby, the space required for electrical contacting means in the lighting assembly and in the socket may be reduced as no space is reserved in the socket for rotation of the electrical connecting means.

摘要: A method is disclosed of controlling a LED, comprising driving the LED with a DC current for a first time, interrupting the DC current for a second time such that the first time and the second time sum to a period, determining at least one characteristic of the LED while the DC current is interrupted, and controlling the DC current during a subsequent period in dependence on the at least one characteristic. The invention thus benefits from the simplicity of DC operation. By operating at the LED in a DC mode, rather than say in a PWM mode, the requirement to be able to adjust the duty cycle is avoided. By including interruptions to the DC current, it is possible to utilize the LED itself to act as a sensor in order to determine a characteristic of the LED. The need for additional sensors is thereby avoided.

摘要: A surge protection circuit is disclosed for an electrical Load which may be for instance an LED load which is directly connected to a supply such as mains supply, and comprises a plurality of switches which are distributed across a plurality of semiconductor die. A surge detector detects the start of a spike in the supply, which results from, for example the commencement or interruption of a nearby inductive load, and opens all the switches. By distributing the switches across multiple die the peak voltage across each is reduced relative to using a single die; thereby each die can stay within the absolute maximum voltage capacity. Each die may have its own surge detector; alternatively, a single surge detector may be used which communicates with the switches on each of the die. In an extension the bridge rectifier may be integrated into the circuit distributed across the die. In this embodiment additional inter-die clamping diodes are required to prevent unsafe floating of the edge connections of each die.
