摘要： A display system is provided for displaying a categorized data group divided into multiple data group sections by at least one section break. In one embodiment, the display system includes a monitor, a cursor device; and a controller operably coupled to the monitor and to the cursor device. The controller is configured to generate on the monitor: (i) a viewport displaying a portion of the categorized data group, (ii) a scrollbar adjacent the viewport, and (iii) a cursor graphic positioned in accordance with user input received via the cursor device. The cursor device permits a user to interact with the scrollbar to select which portion of the categorized data group is displayed within the viewport. The scrollbar includes a visual representation of each section break included within the categorized data group.

The method comprises receiving departure information associated with a runway having a departure end, parsing the departure information to determine a presence of an obstacle associated with the runway, determining a location of the obstacle relative to the departure end of the runway, and displaying a graphical representation of the runway and a graphical representation of the obstacle in the location relative to the departure end of the runway.

When the output device is realized as an audio output device, the procedure information is sequentially provided auditorily via the audio output device. In one or more embodiments, the procedure information is sequentially indicated on a display device onboard the aircraft in concert with the auditorily provided procedure information.

摘要： An airport lighting aid simulation system comprises a data storage unit configured to store lighting aid data relating to a plurality of airports. The lighting aid data indicates a type and a location of an airport lighting aid at a runway at each airport. The system also includes a display unit and a processing unit operatively connected to both the data storage device and the display unit. The processing unit is configured to receive an input signal indicative of a target runway, to retrieve a sub-set of the lighting aid data from the data storage unit, the sub-set being indicative of a target runway lighting aid, and to control the display unit to display a target runway description. The system enables a pilot to determine whether a visible runway is the target runway by comparing a view from an aircraft as the aircraft approaches the visible runway with the target runway description.

摘要： A system for providing a pilot with a visual depiction of a terrain includes, but is not limited to, a data storage unit for storing terrain data, a position determination unit for determining a position of an aircraft, a near to eye display unit worn by the pilot for displaying visual images and for determining a view direction of the pilot. A processing unit is communicatively connected to the data storage unit, to the position determination unit and to the near to eye display unit. The processing unit controls the near to eye display unit to display a three dimensional representation of a viewed terrain region that includes a depiction of the terrain overlaying the terrain within the viewed terrain region and is graphically differentiated to correspond with an altitude of the terrain within the viewed terrain region. The depiction of the terrain is at least partially transparent.
