Abstract: A contactor includes a housing having an outer wall defining a cavity, fixed contacts and a movable contact within the cavity, and a coil assembly in the cavity operated to move the movable contact between an unmated position and a mating position with the fixed contacts. The contactor includes an arc suppressor in the cavity including a first magnet located in the cavity on a first side of the movable contact and a second magnet located in the cavity on a second side of the movable contact. The first magnet is arranged in the cavity such that a north B-field of the first magnet faces outward toward the outer wall of the housing. The second magnet is arranged in the cavity such that a north B-field of the second magnet faces outward toward the outer wall of the housing.

Abstract: An assembly system comprises a fixing device configured to fix a housing and a pressing mechanism adapted to assemble a contact into the housing. The pressing mechanism includes a fixing block having a contact guiding slot adapted to receive the contact therein and a movable block movably mounted on the fixing block and adapted to press the contact downward. The movable block is moved downward to press the contact received in the contact guiding slot into a contact installation slot of the housing in a condition in which the contact guiding slot of the fixing block is aligned with the contact installation slot of the housing.

Abstract: A calibration system adapted to calibrate a resistance of an electrical device having a lead wire comprises a resistance detector adapted to detect the resistance of the electrical device, a first container containing an etching solution adapted to etch the lead wire, and a heater configured to heat the electrical device. If a first resistance of the electrical device detected by the resistance detector at a first temperature is within a first predetermined range, the electrical device is heated with the heater to a second temperature higher than the first temperature. A second resistance of the electrical device is detected by the resistance detector at the second temperature. If the second resistance is beyond a second predetermined range, the lead wire is etched by the etching solution to adjust the resistance of the electrical device until the second resistance at the second temperature is within the second predetermined range.

Abstract: A high voltage diagnostic connector includes a housing holding a positive terminal, a negative terminal and a ground terminal with a cover removably coupled to the housing. An HVIL assembly is in the housing having a HVIL contacts and an HVIL shunt. An HVIL switch is held by the housing including a shunt actuator operably coupled to the HVIL shunt to position the HVIL shunt in an un-shunted position to open an HVIL circuit when in the primary position and in a shunted position to close the HVIL circuit when in the secondary position. The shunt actuator is movable between the primary position and the secondary position when testing the positive terminal, the negative terminal and the ground terminal with the testing device during diagnostic testing of the high voltage diagnostic connector.

Abstract: An electrical cable includes a conductor assembly having conductors and an insulator. The electrical cable includes a cable shield wrapped around the conductor assembly having an inner edge at a first end segment and an outer edge at a second end segment. The second end segment is wrapped over the inner edge and the first end segment to form a flap covering the inner edge and the first end segment. The second end segment forms a void at the inner edge. The electrical cable includes a void shield on the outer surface between the insulator and the cable shield. The void shield extends between a first end and a second end. The void shield is aligned with the void and spans entirely across the void. The cable shield is electrically connected to the void shield.

The contactor has fixed contacts having terminating ends extending from a bottom end of a contactor housing. The BDU includes terminals at the bottom end of the contactor coupled to the terminating ends and a heat exchanger cap at the bottom end of the contactor. The heat exchanger cap is provided in the component cavity in thermal communication with the fixed contacts and in thermal communication with the battery case of the battery module to dissipate heat from the fixed contacts into the battery case of the battery module.
