The icon comprises a plurality of concentric rings, each of the plurality of concentric rings is divided into a plurality of data sectors. Each of the plurality of data sectors is associated with a corresponding bit in the bit sequence, and each of the plurality of data sectors encodes the corresponding bit based on the presence or absence of a line segment in the sector. The plurality of concentric rings further comprises at least three anchor sectors on one or more of the plurality of concentric rings, the at least three anchor sectors comprise an anchor mark. The plurality of concentric rings further comprises one or more error correction sectors, each of the one or more error correction sectors encodes a corresponding error correction bit based on the presence or absence of a line segment in the error correction sector.

    Abstract: A flow control module with a thermal mass flow meter is provided. The thermal mass flow meter facilitates measuring both a flow rate and a temperature of a fluid passing through the flow control module. Fluids may experience different flow characteristics at different temperature ranges. The flow control module includes a proportional control valve for selectively adjusting the flow rate of the fluid passing through the flow control module. Upon detecting that the temperature of the fluid is outside of a temperature range for the fluid, a controller is configured to load a different set of calibration parameters for controlling the operation of the proportional control valve to accommodate the different flow characteristics of the fluid at that temperature. Additionally, the controller is configured to detect bubbles using the thermal mass flow meter based upon the difference in thermal conductivity of gasses and liquids.

    Abstract: A system may include a beverage compartment with a beverage positioned therein, a wetted material disposed about the beverage, at least one sorption cartridge, and a vacuum pump. The sorption cartridge may be in communication with the beverage compartment, and the vacuum pump may be in communication with the sorption cartridge to create a vacuum in the sorption cartridge and the beverage compartment, causing water to evaporate from the wetted material and be captured by the sorption cartridge, thereby lowering the temperature of the wetted material and in turn cooling the beverage. In some instances, the sorption cartridge may be detached from the vacuum pump and the beverage compartment to discharge the captured water therein by way of solar energy. In other instances, the sorption cartridge may be in communication with a heater assembly to blow heated air through the sorption cartridge to discharge the captured water therein.

    Abstract: A beverage order fulfillment system allows for beverage fulfillment from a mobile device without requiring a custom software application on the mobile device but uses a web connection to control beverage dispenser operations instead. The mobile device incorporates web browser software, and the web browser software is configured to initiate communication sessions with the at least one server. Data entry options are displayed on the interactive GUI for the first computer to communicate beverage selection commands to the beverage dispensing software, via the at least one server, in a respective instance of beverage fulfillment. The at least one server incorporates web socket application program interfaces (APIs) stored on the at least one server and configured to connect a communications link to the beverage dispenser and the web browser software on the first computer.
