Abstract:
A target specific addressable spot-guide (TASG) comprises meta-data generated from advertisement campaign criteria, the schema of available ad-spots, the characteristics of the ads to be inserted in the ad-spot, and the ad interaction pattern and preferences of the targeted end user. The TASG is transferred into a mobile handheld viewing platform by broadcasting, and is downloaded and stored on the target viewing platform to enable the recognition, filtering, download, and storage of focused ads for a target group. The ads are inserted into the content stream at the appropriate ad-spot, based on the insertion and priority instructions contained in the TASG to enable simultaneous display of different ads by individuals in different target groups during the viewing of the same transmitted content by these individuals on viewing platforms.
Abstract:
A system and method thereof for the delivery of focused alternate content and advertisements to mobile devices that selectively targets groups in a bandwidth limited multicast wireless video transmission. The limited wireless bandwidth does not allow multiple focused alternate content to be transmitted during allowed spot time to effectively cover all the target groups. Thus, the invention enables the pre-delivery and selective buffering of alternate content files on a mobile device for each target group. Accordingly, one embodiment of the invention enables viewing of targeted advertisements and alternate content by the target groups by attaching metadata to the targeted advertisements that contain instructions for filtering and insertion into a video stream.
Abstract:
A fan assembly (10) which incorporates variable pitched blades (152), is driven by the engine of a vehicle and is used in cooling the engine. A control system (248) is provided which is responsive to at least one signal representative of an operating parameter of the engine and a second signal indicative of a desired cooling requirement to establish an efficient pitch for the blades of the fan assembly. In one embodiment, the speed of the engine is sensed and used in combination with a cooling requirement signal developed by the engine control module (205) to regulate the pitch of the fan assembly. In a second embodiment, engine charge air temperature and coolant temperature signals are utilized in establishing the desired pitch. Furthermore, fuzzy logic controls (290) can be utilized to anticipate the cooling needs of the engine based on variations in the overall dynamic system as derived from information available through the engine control module.
Abstract:
A system for in line in situ validation of an air filter of an exhaust filter system including a scan head, a means for facilitating movement of said scan head in the XY plane, a means for externally controlling the movement of the scan head from outside the plenum of the exhaust filter system in the XY plane, and a means for coupling the scan head to the means for externally controlling the movement of the scan head, is provided. The system can also include a scanning arm, inside and outside magnetic couples, and rolling means to facilitate movement of the inside and outside magnetic couples. A method for in line in situ validation of an air filter in an exhaust filter system is also described, which involves the use of the system for in line in situ validation of air filters of an exhaust filter system.
Abstract:
A gravity sensing input system, a gravity sensing input method and an electronic device thereof are proposed. The gravity sensing input system includes a gravity sensor, an input module, a processing module and an output module. The gravity sensor detects a gravitational acceleration of the electronic device tilted towards a direction. The input module includes a plurality of input interfaces, where each one of the input interfaces corresponds to a plurality of letters, and the input module receives an input signal through one of the input interfaces. The processing module calculates an inclined angle between the electronic device and a reference plane according to the gravitational acceleration, and determines which one of the letters is selected according to the inclined angle and the input interface corresponding to the received input signal. Additionally, the output module outputs the letter selected by the processing module.
Abstract:
A method for preparing titania or precursor thereof with a controllable structure from micropore to mesopore is provided. The method is characterized in that the alkali metal titanate as raw material is reacted for 0.5˜72 hours in the wet atmosphere with humidity of 2˜100% at temperature of 20˜250° C., then washed with water or acid, finally performed by air roasting or solvent thermal treatment. The method has advantages that the raw material is easy to be obtained, the conditions and preparation are controllable, the pore structure may be adjusted from micropore to mesopore, crystal mixing and doping are easy, reacting time is short, preparing cost is low, and the said method is suitable for large scale production and so on. The most probable aperture of titanium oxide or precursor thereof with a controllable structure from micropore to mesopore is in the range of 1˜20 nm, the pore volume thereof is in the range of 0.05˜0.4 cm3/g, and the specific surface area thereof is more than 30 m2/g. The titania is at least one of anatase-phase titania, TiO2(B)-phase titania and rutile-phase titania.
Abstract:
The number of times a single ad file must be sent for reception by a plurality of mobile hand held devices (MHDDs) without any error is reduced by the use of forward error correction (FEC) to achieve statistical coverage of a complete ad file download
Abstract:
Advertisements are transferred to mobile handheld displays (MHDs) during slack time, when the spectrum is not busy for download at, and storage on, the MHDs. The stored advertisements are then selectively rendered during available ad spots when the user is viewing content on the MHD. A main code page that comprises all of the pixels that are static within the ad is initially transmitted to the MHD. This transmission is then followed by the transmission of additional packets that include information that only concerns the pixels in the main code page that change from frame to frame, along with information regarding the location of such changes within the code page. There are typically only a small number of changes between frames in an ad, such that only a small amount of information need be transmitted to represent these changes, when compared to the amount of information contained in each frame of the ad. Thus, the bandwidth requirement for transmission of these changes is much less than that of the actual frames.
Abstract:
An addressable spot-guide (ASG) is the metadata generated from the advertisement (ad) campaign criteria, the schema of the available ad spots and the characteristics of the ad or ads inserted into the ad-spot. The ASG is generated and transferred into the mobile hand-held viewing platform, typically in advance of the content arrival, through any means available. The ASG enables the recognition, filtering, download and storage of ads on the viewing platform of the focused group for which the ad is meant. The ad is inserted into the content stream at the appropriate ad-spot based on the instructions contained in the ASG. As a result of the ASG, individuals in different target groups will view the same content, but different ads that are targeted to their personal characteristics. The ads are prioritized based on importance to the ad campaign.
Abstract:
A cigarette lighter comprises an ignition means which comprises a flint supported by a resilient element, a striker wheel and a pair of side driving wheels. The two side driving wheels are rotatably covered on two end portions of the striker wheel respectively, so that the two end portions of the striker wheel are respectively inserted into the two driving sockets of the two side driving wheels while the flint upwardly extending between the two side driving wheels and urging against the striker wheel. Normally, the two side driving wheels are disengaged with the striker wheel to prevent a minor from driving the striker wheel to rotate, however in order to ignite the Cigarette lighter, an adult must simultaneously press down the two side driving wheels until a top portion of the driving teeth of the two side driving wheels are engaged with a top portion of the striking teeth, and rotate the two side driving wheels to drive the striker wheel to rotate and strike against the flint to generate sparks.
