摘要: Mutually spaced fiber waste collectors upon the knitting machine and creel of a knitting unit collect fiber waste which is then withdrawn by a fiber waste remover that is selectively connectable to different ones of the fiber waste collectors. Sensors detect when the fiber waste collected by the collectors exceeds a predetermined amount.

摘要: Vertically stacked drive wheels (17.sub.1, 17.sub.2, 17.sub.3 and 17.sub.4) are provided above a yarn feed wheel (21) which is provided with a first yarn feed surface (27) providing comparatively high friction with the yarn engaged thereby and adaptable for use when the rate of yarn feeding varies, such as in the case of Jacquard pattern knitting, and a second yarn feed surface (28) providing comparatively low friction against the yarn engaged thereby and adapted for use when the rate of yarn feeding is constant, such as in the case of plain knitting. Manually adjustable yarn guide means (29, 30) is provided for selectively guiding yarn to the first and second yarn feed surfaces (27, 28). Clutch members (24, 24') are interposed between pairs of the vertically stacked drive wheels and are selectively operable to impart rotation to the feed wheel (21) from a selected one of the drive wheels.

摘要: A connector connectable and disconnectable without requiring any force comprises a pivotal lever, a slide plate linearly movable in its longitudinal directions by the operation of the lever and adapted be raised and lowered in response to the linear movements, and an ON-OFF plate adapted to rise and lower in response to the rising and lowering movements of the slide plate for opening at least one pair of contacts by inserting the ON-OFF plate between the contacts in the rising movement of the ON-OFF plate and closing the pair of contacts by removing the ON-OFF plate from between the contacts in the lowering movement of the ON-OFF plate. According to the invention, the lever is made detachable from the connector to avoid the need of bulky boxes for packaging due to its elongated lever and risk of damage to the lever subjected to excess forces.

摘要: A C-V(capacitance-to-voltage) conversion apparatus usable e.g. for detecting physical parameters such as pressure, distance and angle. The apparatus comprises a capacitive sensor, a C-PW(capacitance-to-pulse width) conversion circuit, and a PW-V(pulse width-to-voltage) conversion circuit. The capacitive sensor converts a physical parameter to a capacitance, but has a non-linear conversion characteristic. The C-PW conversion circuit converts the capacitance to a pulse signal whose mean value is proportional to the capacitance, by controlling a charging-discharging cycle of the capacitive sensor and a reference capacitor. The PW-V conversion circuit converts the pulse signal to a d.c. voltage and at the same time compensates for the non-linearity of the capacitive sensor's conversion characteristic so that the d.c. voltage is proportional to the physical parameter.

摘要: A device for intermittently driving a magnetic tape has a capstan for driving the magnetic tape, a motor directly connected to the capstan for driving the capstan, a tachometer for detecting the rotating speed of the motor and producing an output, and a speed control having a settable speed controller for setting a desired motor speed and into which the output from the tachometer is fed back for enabling the speed control to sense when the motor is rotating at the desired motor speed. An intermittent drive control is provided for supplying a triggering signal to trigger said settable speed controller to cause the settable speed controller to operate the speed control for accelerating the motor to the desired motor speed and driving it at that speed, the intermittent drive control supplying the triggering signal in response to a speed setting signal and a head switch signal. A detector for detecting a control signal recorded on the magnetic tape while the motor is being driven at the desired speed is connected to the intermittent drive control. The intermittent drive control is further responsive to the detection of the control signal for discontinuing the triggering signal after the passage of a predetermined period of time for causing the settable speed controller to decelerate the driving of the motor from the desired motor speed, whereby the position of the magnetic tape relative to the position of the recorded control signal at the end of the deceleration by the speed control is constant.

摘要: A motor speed control apparatus has a frequency generator for generating a frequency signal the frequency of which is proportional to the motor speed; a first pulse generator for producing a first pulse train having the same period as that of the frequency signal, each pulse of the first pulse train having a pulse width which is shorter than the period of the frequency signal and decreases as the frequency of the frequency signal increases; a second pulse generator for producing a second pulse train, the leading edges of the pulses of the second pulse train coinciding in timing with those of the first pulse train, each pulse of the second pulse train having a constant pulse width nearly the same as that of each pulse of the first pulse train obtained by the motor rotation at a predetermined speed; and a subtractor for producing a third pulse train by the subtraction of the pulses of the first pulse train and the corresponding pulses of the second pulse train, whereby there is produced a motor torque in correspondence with the third pulse train, and the motor speed can be controlled with suppressed motor vibration and excellent torque-speed characteristics of the motor.
