    摘要: The present invention provides a surface treatment apparatus containing a sheet heating unit for heating a sheet, a sheet cooling unit for cooling the sheet. The apparatus satisfying at least one of following conditions: (1) the apparatus transfers a surface quality of the contact member to a surface of the image recording layer and an interface of the thermoplastic resin layer facing the image recording layer of the sheet; (2) the apparatus further contains the contact member selecting unit which selects the contact member having a desired surface quality; (3) the apparatus further comprises a treatment control unit which controls treatment conditions of at least one of the sheet heating unit and the sheet cooling unit; and (4) the sheet heating unit includes a sheet preheating part preheating the sheet and the apparatus transfers a surface quality of the contact member to the sheet heated by the sheet preheating part.

    摘要: An image forming apparatus includes a forming unit configured to form a latent electrostatic image on a latent electrostatic image bearing member based on a digital image; a developing unit configured to develop the latent electrostatic image with a toner to form a visible image; a transferring unit configured to transfer the visible image to one of an electrophotographic image receiving roll and an electrophotographic image receiving sheet; and a smoothing and fixing unit configured to smooth and fix the transferred image on one of the electrophotographic image receiving roll and the electrophotographic image receiving sheet to thereby form a series of electrophotographic prints and an electrophotographic print. In the apparatus, the hardware including the media, printer and unit for aftertreatment optimally matches with the toner, and the apparatus can produce high-quality images equal to silver-halide photographs.

    摘要: An apparatus for electrolysis of MgCl.sub.2, comprising an air-tightly sealed shell of metallic material, said shell exhibiting in horizontal cross section a rounded profile which comprises at four portions a curve selected from a quarter-circular arc and a quarter-elliptical arc, means for forcibly cooling said shell from outside, a wall structure which consists of an insulative refractory of a decreased thickness and which is provided along said shell, an electrolysis chamber defined by said wall structure and a pair of primary partitions extending in parallel with each other across the wall structure, a separation chamber provided in adjacency with the electrolysis chamber for stripping magnesium metal from electrolytic bath, at least one pair of anode and cathode arranged in the electrolysis chamber, at least one bipolar intermediate electrode arranged between the anode and cathode, and a top cover provided air-tightly over the electrolysis chamber and the separation chamber, thus allowing as a whole an electrolytic operation at a substantially regulated bath temperature with an increased number of electrodes.

    摘要: An improved electrolytic cell for magnesium chloride which essentially comprises:at least one pairs of anode and cathode arranged with a respective principal face thereof in a substantial verticality,at least one bipolar intermediate electrode placed in a row between the anode and cathode,an electrolytic chamber to contain such electrodes, anda metal collecting chamber which is attached to the electrolytic chamber but separated therefrom by a partition, characterized in that said intermediate electrodes essentially consists of a substantially flat graphite portion to provide an anodic face and an iron portion to provide a cathodic face, both materials being spaced from each other and jointed together with rods of iron, which are tightly secured to the graphite, to ensure an intimate electrical connection therebetween, and that a cavity thus formed between the two materials is arranged to fitly communicate at one end with a through hole in the partition to allow passage of electrolyte bath carrying magnesium metal product from the electrolytic chamber to the metal collecting chamber.
