    摘要: A learning system is used in a data processing apparatus for learning an input pattern by obtaining an internal-state value necessary for realizing a desired data conversion by performing a pattern conversion defined by the internal-state value and calculating an output pattern corresponding to the input pattern. The learning system comprises a pattern presenting unit for presenting an input pattern group of the subject to be learned for pattern conversion, dividing the input pattern group of the subject to be learned into at least two sets, selecting one of the divided sets, presenting the input pattern group of the selected set to a pattern conversion unit and presenting an input pattern group belonging to all the sets presented up to the current point when the internal-state value to be converged is obtained in accordance with the presentation of the selected set, and an error value calculating unit for calculating an error value representing a magnitude of a non-consistency between an output pattern group outputted in accordance with the presentation and a teacher pattern group representing a pattern to be obtained by the output pattern group.

    摘要: In laser feedback systems of an optical memory the most suitable feedback gain value depends on the type of optical disks used. According to the invention a system and a method is provided which finds by way of an iteration a suitable maximum feedback gain value so that the feedback system does not oscillate. The method consists in starting with a low gain value for driving a laser diode, increasing the gain value by small amounts until an oscillation detecting unit detects that the laser feedback system is oscillating. Then the gain value is reset to the previous value or a little bit more. Then the laser feedback system is again in a non-oscillating area with a suitable maximum gain value. This iteration is performed by a system consisting mainly of a laser diode, a photodiode for detecting the reflected light, and an oscillation detecting unit which controls a gain controller. This gain controller sets the gain on a multiplier which drives the laser driver for the laser diode.

    摘要: One end portion of a lug detecting lever or cassette detecting lever is arranged at the position of a safety lug of a cassette loaded on a tray unit or at the position of the cassette. The pivotal position of the other end portion of this detecting lever is varied in accordance with the presence/absence of a safety lug or a cassette. During insertion of the tray unit into a housing, a shutter mechanism is rendered operative or inoperative in accordance with the pivotal position of said detecting lever. The shutter mechanism is associated with a tape end detecting element. Upon receiving a detection signal from this tape end detecting element, a controller can determine the presence/absence of a safety lug or a cassette.

According to the configuration, without requiring an operation by the user, a connection between terminals can be automatically established, and the communication can be continued.
