摘要: An electronic musical instrument capable of producing a performance effect resembling arpeggio. Tones corresponding to one or more depressed keys are sequentially produced from the lowest tone or the highest tone and an octave range in which tones are produced is shifted toward a higher octave or a lower octave at completion of each cycle of the tone production sequence. This shift of octave is continued to a certain predetermined octave and, after the tone production in the predetermined last octave has been completed, the tone production is repeated from the original octave or the tone production is conducted with the octave range being shifted in a reverse direction. For realizing simulation of arpeggio, plural key information produced by depressing a plurality of keys needs to be selected in a predetermined sequence. To this end, an up-down counter is employed in an example of the present invention. In a mode of arpeggio-like performance in which the tone pitch sequentially rises, for example, counting in the up-down counter is started from 0 for comparing contents of the counter with the key information and, when there is coincidence, the counting is suspended and the lowest tone is produced in response to the key information. After the lapse of a set time, the counting is resumed for repeating the comparison and a next higher tone is produced. The same operation is repeated until the counter overflows, when the octave is shifted to a next octave. The tone production is made at a predetermined time interval (a regular mode) or at a preset time interval from start of depression of the key (a random mode).

摘要: An electronic musical instrument wherein, by merely depressing one key, the tone pitch corresponding to that key varies periodically with cyclic repetition at a specific rate. The pitch variation is made on the octave basis by periodically shifting digits of binary signals of plural bits which designate readout addresses of a musical tone waveform. Various patterns of the pitch variation can be obtained by suitably setting a pattern of shifting of the digits of the binary signals. The patterns include an "up mode" in which the pitch slides successively toward higher pitches one octave interval at a time and then, upon reaching a predetermined octave, immediately returns to the original pitch and subsequently the same operation is repeated, and a "turn mode" in which the pitch slides successively toward higher pitches one octave interval at a time and, upon reaching a predetermined octave, slides successively in the reverse direction until it returns to the original pitch and subsequently the same operation is repeated. The patterns further include a "jump mode" in which, when a plurality of keys are successively depressed, the pitches of the succeedingly depressed keys slide in conformity with the octave slide of the first depressed key and a "random mode" in which, when a plurality of keys are successively depressed, the octave slide of the respective keys is made independently and separately from each other. In a case where plural keys are depressed, the "up mode" or the "turn mode" can be selectively combined with the "jump mode" or the "random mode". The speed of the octave slide is determined by the rate of the clock pulse employed in the instrument and, accordingly, a clock pulse of a rate corresponding to a note to be played is selectively used.

摘要: Indicators are provided in corresponding relations to individual keyboard keys. For each of plural phrases of a given music piece, information is supplied that represents at least the highest-pitch note to the lowest note in the phrase. During performance of the music piece and on the basis of the supplied information, the indicators, for each phrase, indicates all notes within a range from the highest-pitch note to the lowest note of the phrase. Thus, the player can easily position his hands over accurate keys and thereby can comfortably carry out performance operations for each phrase. Notes to be performed in each phrase after a first note corresponding to predetermined performance timing in the phrase may be indicated in different manners (for example, by varying degrees of brightness) depending on performance timing differences, from the first note performance timing, of the notes. Alternatively, individual notes of each phrase may be sequentially indicated quickly in advance of the actual phrase performance. These modifications allow the player to intuitively recognize the order of performance, Further, by indicating at least one of the current and next notes in a manner different from other notes, it is advantageously shown very visibly which notes should be performed now and next.

摘要: An electronic musical instrument comprises a plurality of keys being displaceable relative to a support member therefor in response to depression thereof. A CPU detects velocity of depression of each of the keys from displacement of the each key caused by depression thereof, and also detects a pressure force or an impact force with which the each key urgingly contacts a stationary member at or near termination of depression of the each key. The CPU is responsive to the detected velocity of depression and pressure force or impact force, for determining initial touch information for a musical tone to be generated or at least one musical tone parameter, and for controlling the musical tone to be generated, based on the determined initial touch information.

摘要: An electronic musical instrument can perform a musical-tone control according to a playing-style. In the instrument, a touch sensor is provided for each key on a keyboard, and pressure sensors are also provided under the keys. Each touch sensor detects a speed data corresponding to a depression speed of the key, and each pressure sensor detects a pressure data corresponding to an initial peak of a depression pressure after the start of the depression of the key. The instrument operates according to the speed data and the pressure data for discriminating between a standard playing-style which touches the key from an upside remote position and a push playing-style which starts depression of the key from a state where the key is touched. Values of the pressure data from the respective pressure sensors are different even if the speed data from the respective touch sensors are the same, so that the judgment is made as to which playing-style is performed on the corresponding key based on the speed data and the pressure data, thereby performing the musical-tone control according to the detected playing-style.

摘要: A musical tone control apparatus controls a musical tone corresponding to a movement itself of an object and the like which is detected by a detector Such detector detects also a moving speed, a moving force, a moving angle or an intensity of given impulse of the object. In the case where the detector is mounted in the vicinity of a player's joint, the detector detects a revolving or bending angle of the player's joint. Hence, the musical tone can be controlled based on such angle of the player's joint. Thus, through this musical tone control apparatus, the player can generate a musical tone having, for example, a desirable tone pitch, a desirable volume and a desirable tone color based on the movement of the object or the player's joint.
