Abstract:
A first user interface is displayed on an electronic device. The first user interface is associated with a first internal node of a content hierarchy, and includes a context region, a header region comprising information identifying the first internal node, and a child-node region comprising one or more selectable identifiers that correspond to one or more child nodes of the first internal node. A selection of a respective child-node identifier is detected. In response, a transition to a second user interface associated with the respective child node is displayed. The transition comprises, while maintaining display of the one or more selectable labels in the context region, moving the respective child-node identifier upward toward the header region, and updating the context region by transforming the information identifying the first internal node into a selectable label identifying the first internal node as an ancestor node of the respective child node.
Abstract:
Methods and systems that facilitate data delivery to electronic devices are disclosed. One aspect pertains to data delivery to electronic devices that are portable, such as, mobile devices. In one embodiment, one mobile device discovers another mobile device within its vicinity. The mobile devices can then wirelessly transmit data from one mobile device to the other. The mobile devices, or their users, can control, request or influence the particular data content being delivered.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to techniques for enabling easy generation, editing, and access to digital content compilations, such as playlists, etc. Specifically, embodiments of the present disclosure employ one or more graphical user-interfaces that provide a playlist toolbar (e.g., a sidebar) after determining a user wishes to access a digital content compilation. Further, predictions may be made to determine potential activities associated with these compilations based upon previous actions performed by the user.
Abstract:
In accordance with some embodiments, a method is performed at a device with one or more processors, non-transitory memory, a display, and an input device. The method includes displaying, on the display, a playback status indicator regarding playback of a media item. The method includes displaying, on the display, an image associated with the media item. The method includes detecting an input interacting with the image. In response to a first portion of the input, the method includes adjusting the appearance of the image on the display in accordance with the first portion of the input. In response to a second portion of the input, the method includes changing playback of media items on the device in accordance with the input in accordance with the second portion of the input.
Abstract:
The embodiments set forth techniques for managing advertisement attributions. A first technique can be implemented by an “app store” application, and include the steps of (1) receiving, from a first user application, a request to view a second user application, where the request includes a set of digitally-signed parameters that are specific to an advertising campaign (provided by an advertisement network) for the second user application that is presented by the first user application. In turn, and in response to identifying that the second user application satisfies at least one criterion, the app store application provides the set of digitally-signed parameters to an advertisement metrics manager that: (i) verifies the set of digitally-signed parameters, and (ii) indicates, to the advertisement network, that business logic should be carried out in association with the first user application and the second user application. A second technique for managing advertisement attributions is also disclosed.
Abstract:
The sole FIGURE is a front view of a display screen or portion thereof with graphical user interface showing our new design. The peripheral broken lines in the FIGURE show a display screen or portion thereof and form no part of the claimed design. The broken lines within the FIGURE show portions of graphical user interface for a display screen or portion thereof which form no part of the claimed design.
Abstract:
In some embodiments, a device performs character recognition based on spatial and temporal components of touch input detected on a touch-sensitive surface. In some embodiments, a device provides feedback about handwritten input and its recognition by the device. In some embodiments, a device presents a user interface for changing previously-inputted characters.
Abstract:
An electronic device provides, to a display, data to present a user interface that includes a plurality of user interface objects, and a current focus on a first user interface object. While the display is presenting the user interface, the electronic device receives an input that corresponds to a movement of a contact across on a touch-sensitive surface. The electronic device, in response to receiving the input and in accordance with a determination that a first axis is a dominant axis, moves the current focus along the first axis by a first amount and along the second axis by a second amount. The amount of movement of the current focus along the second axis is reduced to a first non-zero amount by a scaling factor that is based on one or more inputs received prior to receiving the input.
Abstract:
A content management system and/or client device can enable a user to initiate a quick play mode where a content category and content medium are selected for the user. A client device and/or a content management system can select a content medium for a user based on one or more factors, such as the content category. Certain content categories of content can be preferably delivered in certain content mediums. In some embodiments, a content management system and/or client device can select a content medium for a user based on contextual data gathered from the user. Contextual data can be data describing the user's current state and/or environment. For example, contextual data can include data such as the time of day, geographic location, etc.
Abstract:
Improved techniques and systems for storage, delivery and acquisition of digital assets stored in cloud data storage. Cloud data storage can be provided by a cloud data repository that is capable of storing digital data for various users. A given user can access cloud data storage from any of his/her authorized client devices via a network. A given client device can access not only locally stored digital assets but also remotely stored digital assets from cloud data storage. In one embodiment, downloads of digital assets resident in cloud data storage to client devices can be managed in view of available network performance. As one example, digital assets of differing quality levels can be downloaded in a manner dependent on network performance. As another example, locally stored digital assets of reduced quality can be upgraded (e.g., replaced) by higher quality versions in a manner dependent on network performance.
