    Abstract: A check valve includes a housing that includes an inlet port, an outlet port, and a valve chamber. The inlet port extends from a ceiling of the valve chamber to an outer surface of the housing. The outlet port extends from a floor of the valve chamber to the outer surface of the housing. The check valve further includes a valve member supported within the chamber. The valve includes a valve head. When an upstream pressure is applied to the valve, the valve head is configured to deflect away from the ceiling of the valve chamber and unseal the inlet port. When a downstream pressure is applied to the valve, the valve head is configured to deflect away from the floor of the valve chamber and seal the inlet port such that the valve head conforms to a shape of the ceiling of the valve chamber.

    Abstract: Drip chambers are described herein. A drip chamber comprises an inlet, an outlet, and a chamber body. The chamber body defines a chamber volume in fluid communication with the inlet and the outlet. The chamber body is movable between a collapsed configuration having a first volume and an expanded configuration having a second volume. The second volume is larger than the first volume, and the chamber body is configured to be moved from the collapsed configuration to the expanded configuration to draw in a medical fluid from the inlet into the chamber volume to prime the drip chamber.

    Abstract: A needleless connector may include a housing comprising a central longitudinal axis, a body portion, and a base portion. The body portion may include an inner surface forming an internal cavity, and a first port forming a first fluid passage to the internal cavity. The base portion may include a top section including a valve seal support, and a bottom section including a second port forming a second fluid passage to the internal cavity. The needleless connector may further include an asymmetrically-shaped valve disposed in the internal cavity. The asymmetrically-shaped valve may include a head portion, a valve body portion extending distally from the head portion, and a wall having an inner surface forming a valve cavity. The valve may be coupled with the housing such that the inner surface of the valve at the valve body portion is seated and radially supported on the valve seal support.

    Abstract: Needleless connector disinfecting devices are provided that include a body having a top surface and a bottom surface, a cavity in the body, the cavity configured to receive a needleless connector, an activation arm disposed on the body, a cartridge housing disposed on the activation arm, a swab cartridge disposed in the cartridge housing, and a disposal chamber disposed in the body, the disposal chamber configured to receive used cleaning swabs. The activation arm is configured to slidably move the cartridge housing on the top surface of the body between a non-biased position in which a bottommost cleaning swab in the swab cartridge is in contact with an end portion of a needleless connector and a biased position in which the cartridge housing is disposed over the disposal chamber. Additional needleless connector disinfecting devices and methods of using needleless connector disinfecting devices are also provided.

    Abstract: Syringes are described herein. A syringe includes a syringe body, a first plunger, a biasing member, and a priming indicator. The syringe body defines a syringe cavity, a syringe port, and an indicator window, wherein the syringe port is in fluid communication with the syringe cavity. The first plunger comprises a first plunger shaft extending from the first plunger, the first plunger disposed within the syringe cavity and defining a first chamber in the syringe cavity, wherein the first chamber is in fluid communication with the syringe port. The biasing member couples to the first plunger shaft, wherein the biasing member urges the first plunger from an unprimed position to a primed position toward the syringe port. The priming indicator presents the first indicator portion through the indicator window in the unprimed position and presents the second indicator portion through the indicator window in the primed position.

    Abstract: A dual check valve includes an upper housing, an intermediate housing, and a lower housing, and a first valve seat. The intermediate housing is coupled to the upper housing to define a first cavity, and includes a second valve seat. The lower housing is coupled to the intermediate housing to define a second cavity. A first disk is mounted in the first cavity and configured to selectively contact the first valve seat. A second disk is mounted in the second cavity and configured to selectively contact the second valve seat. When the dual check valve is in an open state, the first disk deflects away from the first valve seat to create a first gap, and the second disk deflects away from the second valve seat to create a second. The first gap is smaller than the second gap.
