Abstract: An ATM includes a sheet driving system with a sheet path along which sheets travel, and sheet sensors and sheet drive mechanisms adjacent the sheet path. One sheet drive mechanism is disposed apart from another sheet drive mechanism in a direction relative to the sheet path, and each sheet drive mechanism is selectively operative to change relative speed and direction of movement of disposed areas of a sheet as the sheet travels adjacent to the sheet drive mechanisms along the sheet path. A control system is responsive to sensing a sheet with a sensor to selectively actuate a sheet drive mechanism to change the position of the sheet relative to the sheet path.

Abstract: A dynamic transaction card that includes a transaction card having a number of layers, each of which may be interconnected to one another. For example, a dynamic transaction card may include an outer protective layer, a core layer, a potting layer, a touch sensor layer, a display layer (including, for example, LEDs, a dot matrix display, and the like), a microcontroller storing firmware, Java applets, Java applet integration, and the like, an EMV™ chip, an energy storage component, one or more antennas (e.g., Bluetooth™ antenna, NFC antenna, and the like), a power management component, a flexible printed circuit board (PCB), a chassis, and/or a card backing layer, which may include a back protective layer. The antennas may be mounted on the protective layers, which may be laminated to the core layer, and connected to the core layer onto a printed circuit board (PCB) using conductive epoxies.

Abstract: A dynamic transaction card that includes a transaction card having a number of layers, each of which may be interconnected to one another. For example, a dynamic transaction card may include an outer layer, a potting layer, a sensor layer that may be utilized to activate a dynamic transaction card by authenticating the card user as authorized to use the card through user authentication input recognition, which may be gesture and voice recognition processing, a display layer (including, for example, LEDs, a dot matrix display, and the like), a microcontroller storing firmware, Java applets, Java applet integration, and the like, an EMV™ chip, an energy storage component, one or more antenna (e.g., Bluetooth™ antenna, NFC antenna, and the like), a power management component, a flexible printed circuit board (PCB), a chassis, and/or a card backing layer.

Abstract: A system for securely updating an electronic transaction card held by an account holder with an additional account and/or account data. A dynamic transaction card may be securely updated with an additional account by using pre-stored shell data and/or inactive data, whereby the pre-stored shell data may be populated using data received from an issuer system and/or the inactive data may be activated via an activation signal received from an issuer system. A backend server may determine, via a fraud determination, expiration determination, and/or user-request, that new account data should be transmitted to an account holder. The dynamic transaction card may receive the data associated with a notification, update a display, instruct an EMV applet to use a key associated with a received EMV key identifier for signatures, and/or update any additional data stored on the dynamic transaction card.

Abstract: A method of supplying mosaic tile to an automated mosaic tile setter includes automatically loading a variety of mosaic tiles selected from mosaic tiles of at least two different colors, textures, patterns, or other visual or tactile characteristics into a plurality of hoppers. The automatic loading includes controlling a first pick-and-place robot to pick each of the mosaic tiles from a source of the mosaic tiles and place each respective mosaic tile into a respective one of the plurality of hoppers based on one of a last-in, first-out basis, or a last-in, last-out basis, and a desired pattern of a mosaic tile arrangement for installation at a work site. Each respective one of the loaded mosaic tiles is picked from a hopper using a second pick-and-place robot and placed onto one of a plurality of sheets of underlayment material.

Abstract: The embodiments include systems and methods for adjustable polarization in service-providing terminals. In some embodiments, a system may include a display, an input device, an adjustable polarization screen adjacent to the display, and a polarization adjuster. The system may further include a processor configured to execute instructions to perform operations comprising providing illumination to the adjustable polarization screen through the display, controlling, via the polarization adjuster, a polarization of the adjustable polarization screen to a first polarization, receiving, via the input device, a polarization selection input, and based on the polarization selection input, adjusting, via the polarization adjuster, the polarization of the adjustable polarization screen from the first polarization to a second polarization.
