Abstract:
A mowing implement is equipped with a rotary cutter bar and utilizes right- and left-hand sets of converging drums to aid those cutting discs located outboard of opposite sides of a discharge zone to converge crop to the discharge zone. The inner two of each of the sets of converging drums are identical and have inverted bowl shaped lower end plates having conical surfaces which aid in lifting crop. The insides of the bowl-shaped converging drum end plates form voids, which together with flat horizontal ejector plates, mounted on respective cutter discs for sweeping beneath the inner two of each set of converging drums, keep crop from packing beneath these converging drums. Associated with each of the innermost ones of the inner pair of converging drums is a guide element defining a horizontal shelf located for guiding crop, elevated by the conical surfaces of the lower ends of the inner most converging drums, to the discharge passage. Crop that passes beneath the shelves is guided to locations of the discharge passage inward of respective side walls bordering the discharge passage by respective legs depending from the back sides of the shelves.
Abstract:
A system and method for efficiently performing an inverse telecine procedure includes an inverse telecine module that converts input frames of video information into corresponding output frames by applying an inverse telecine policy to the input frames. A motion statistics generator then calculates motion statistics results corresponding to the output frames. A synchronizer module then compares the motion statistics results to entries in a synchronization table for determining whether the inverse telecine procedure is correctly synchronized. The synchronizer module may then reposition a current start boundary of the inverse telecine procedure whenever the inverse telecine procedure is not correctly synchronized.
Abstract:
A modulation method, referred to as dual phase pulse modulation (DPPM), represents digital data as a series of high and low pulses whose widths represent groups of M data bits, with both the high and low pulses representing successive M-bit groups. Each of the 2M possible data values for a group of M data bits uniquely corresponds to one of 2M distinct pulse widths. This modulation method is essentially clockless, with data being decoded from a signal by detecting each pulse's width with respect to the last transition. Power consumption is reduced by having M data bits represented for each pulse transition, and by using both the high and low pulses to represent data.
Abstract:
A delay locked loop circuit with improved restart features. The circuit includes a clock input, a clock output, a divider circuit, phase detector and control logic. The circuit includes a means for implementing a binary search of outputs from the control logic for generating a calibration bit, which is applied to the transmission on an output line.
Abstract:
An EMP-eliminator is to be created which is simultaneously applicable for multiple frequency bands and highest frequencies and at the same time allows transmission of AC/DC supply voltages. For this purpose a casing (20) set in an outer line (10) is provided as well as a line (24) connected in an electrically conductive manner to an inner line of a coaxial line (30). The line (24) is connected in an electrically conductive manner with the equipment casing (20) or its face side via a gas filled overvoltage suppressor (28). The gas eliminator (28) is set into a threaded cover and thus can be exchanged. Between the equipment casing (20) and the line (24) several bushes (25,26) connected electrically to the line are provided. The length of the line (24) corresponds to the .lambda./4 length of the lowest transmitted frequency band. Several serially connected resonant cavities result which are matched in their length to different midband frequencies. With this kind of serially connected resonant cavities it is easily possible to transmit several frequency bands and thus protect end apparatuses from interference current impulses. The capacitance of the overvoltage suppressor (28) is decoupled by the line (24) and the bushes. (25,26) to such a degree that use up to 18 GHz is possible.
Abstract:
A telephone line demarcation unit separates the telephone company's property and wiring from those of the user and provides security for the telephone line connections and connectors. Compartments in the unit provide easy access for the user and further provides a selection of different types of connections or equipment that can be utilized. The telephone company terminals and test boards are separately compartmented so that the compartments can be separately sealed with seals to discourage tampering and provide evidence of tampering, and yet the user's portion of the interface box demarcation unit can be easily accessed for connecting a variety of telephone equipment.
Abstract:
A modular coupler is used to interconnect two modular plug-ended telephone line cords. The coupler includes a first and a second section, each having a base and side walls extending along a length. The first section includes a center wall extending in a width direction between the side walls. A plurality of slots are oriented in a lengthwise direction across the center wall. The second section includes first and second forming walls extending in a width direction and separated by an aperture of sufficient size to receive therebetween the center wall of the first section. A plurality of slots extend in a lengthwise direction across the first and second forming walls and slope inward toward the aperture. A plurality of wires are positioned within the slots of the first and second forming walls. During assembly, the center wall is moved between the first and second forming walls to bend the wires toward the first section while clamping them within the coupler. Once assembled, the first and second sections snap together and form two back-to-back hollow jacks opening out opposite ends of the coupler, each for receiving a plug or jack on the end of a line to be coupled to another line. The plugs and lines are electrically interconnected by the wires in the coupler.
Abstract:
A fence post and wire support for electric fences wherein the post is made of unidirectional glass fibers in a plastic resin and has a T-shaped cross section. The resulting structure is light but rigid, and has flat surfaces which eliminate the need for an anchor plate. A number of wire-like clips are adapted for crimping around the post or for resiliently engaging the post to form a wire support. The wire-like clips are designed to cooperate with the T-shaped cross section of the post to provide a secure mounting thereto. Alternatively, a rubber-like wire support having two ring portions which fit snugly around the post, and having a hinge portion joining the ring portions may serve as the wire holder.
Abstract:
Described and shown is a method for delivery and/or collection of at least one mailing. In order to reduce the associated cost and effort a vehicle (1) is drives to at least one receptacle (3) through public traffic at least in part and the at least one mailing to be delivered is taken from the vehicle (1) and placed into the receptacle (3) by a transfer device attached to the vehicle (1) and/or the at least one mailing to be collected is brought from the receptacle (3) to the vehicle (1) by the transfer device attached to the vehicle (1).
