摘要: Systems and methods for providing a haptic device are described. In one described system, a first brake surface of a first element contacts a second brake surface of a second element. At least one actuator is configured to exert a force on at least one of the first and second elements. A flexure is coupled to at least one of the first element, the second element, a housing, a manipulandum, and a shaft coupled to the manipulandum. The flexure provides a degree of rotational flexibility to the manipulandum when the at least one actuator exerts the force. The described system may include a processor in communication with the at least one actuator for providing the haptic effects.

摘要: An apparatus for manufacture of a tire, the apparatus including a drum with shoulder having a generally cylindrical main receiving surface to receive the products to be assembled, the main receiving surface being radially retractable. The drum has a shoulder axially to the side edges of said main receiving surface. The drum is mounted on a shaft. At least one associated axially movable side crown is mounted coaxially with the drum. The drum has a lateral protuberance coaxially juxtaposed to at least one of its shoulders. The side crown is axially slidable at least partly under the lateral protuberance, the lateral protuberance forming a quasi-cylindrical support surface whose outside diameter is smaller than the diameter of the main receiving surface. The side crown has a substantially cylindrical outer surface capable of passing axially outside of the lateral protuberance.

摘要: A partition manager includes an I/O reconfiguration mechanism and a logical partition suspend/resume mechanism that work together to perform autonomic I/O reconfiguration in a logically partitioned computer system. When I/O reconfiguration is required, the affected logical partitions are suspended, the I/O is reconfigured, and the affected logical partitions are resumed. Because the logical partitions are suspended during I/O reconfiguration, any ghost packet that may occur when the I/O is reconfigured is ignored.

摘要: A method and apparatus for maintaining electro-deposition of metal on a cathode in an electrolytic cell. The cell comprises a metal anode, a cathode, an electrolytic bath and a main power supply to apply an electric potential across the anode and cathode resulting in a forward current and deposition of metal from said anode to the cathode. An auxiliary power supply is also provided for connection to the cell. In cases where the mains power supply falls below a predetermined value, the auxiliary power supply maintains a predetermined direction and quantity of current flow in the cell. The auxiliary power supply may be continuous or activated only when the current flow and/or direction of current falls below said predetermined value.

摘要: A reusable, catch basin filter installable by one person into a catch basin. A blank of filter material is foldable to form a skirt with a central opening and having the shape of a flattened tube. A filter trap filter depends from the skirt. The hollow interior of the trap communicates with the central opening of the skirt. A flat, wire insert inserts into the skirt through an open, first end of the skirt. When installed in a catch basin, the wire insert prevents the filter from slumping as material accumulates within the filter trap. Upstanding fabric loops permit lifting a full or partially full filter out of a catch basin by carry poles or the forks of a fork lift truck inserted through the loops. After removing retained matter from the filter and cleaning the filter trap, the filter is ready for reuse.
