Abstract:
The invention provides new methods of treatment using TGF-β3 to inhibit scarring in humans, and TGF-β3 for new uses in the inhibition of scarring in humans. In a first incidence of treatment each centimetre of wound margin, or each centimetre of a site at which a wound is to be formed, is provided with between approximately 350 ng and 1000 ng of TGF-β3; and in a second incidence of treatment, occurring after a wound is formed, and between 8 and 48 hours after the first incidence of treatment, the wound is provided with an amount of between approximately 350 ng and 1000 ng of TGF-β3 per centimetre of wound margin in which scarring is to be inhibited. The amount of TGF-β3 provided may be the same in each incidence of treatment. The amount of TGF-β3 provided per centimetre in each incidence of treatment may preferably be approximately 500 ng. The TGF-β3 may be provided by intradermal injection. Also provided are kits and methods of selecting an appropriate treatment regime for inhibiting scarring associated with the healing of a human wound.
Abstract:
A system and process for controlling propulsion and steering of a track trencher excavation machine powered by an engine includes a multiple mode propulsion and steering control system that performs a plurality of functions depending on a selection of one of a plurality of operational modes. A controller generates a vehicle propulsion hydrostatic drive signal using an engine speed to determine a load multiplier. The load multiplier being defined as a function of the engine speed and an operator adjustable load control setting.

In a chain excavator including an excavation chain with links routed around a drive sprocket and an end idler with a base plate mounted to a link for supporting excavation implements, a stabilizing element extends rearwardly from directly behind the excavation implement in order to contact and be supported by its trailing base plate.
Abstract:
An excavating apparatus having a prime mover with a longitudinal centerline and a main frame (30) with an engine, a ground drive system and an excavation boom operatively attached thereto wherein the excavation boom has a sub-frame (112) with a first end and a second end. The first end of the sub-frame (112) is operatively pivotally attached to the main frame (30) along a main frame pivot axis (114). The main frame pivot axis is transverse to the longitudinal centerline of the prime mover. A head shaft (150) operatively rotatably attached to the second end of the sub-frame (112) along a head shaft axis (151) and the head shaft axis (151) is transverse to the longitudinal centerline of the prime mover. An excavating drum (148) is operatively attached to the head shaft (150) for rotation about the head shaft axis (151). The head shaft (150) is operatively pivotally attached to the second end of the sub-frame (112) along an axis (124) which is fixed with or parallel to a line (124a) which is fixed with respect to the main frame pivot axis (114) and which is substantially perpendicular to the main frame pivot axis (114) whereby the position of the head shaft axis (151) can be adjusted with respect to the position of the main frame pivot axis (114) from a position parallel to the main frame pivot axis (114) to positions not parallel to the main frame pivot axis (114). Also, the excavation drum (148) is mounted onto the head shaft (150) in a manner that the excavation drum (148) cooperates with the excavation chain (142) and a fixed cutter pattern of the excavation chain (142) to stay in consistent alignment with the fixed cutter pattern of the excavation drum (148).

Abstract:
This invention provides methods for monitoring QTL effects and marker assisted selection (MAS) involving providing a recursively determined correlation between one or more markers and a phenotype of interest.
Abstract:
A method for targeting trait phenotyping of a plant breeding experiment includes collecting soil data for at least one location, applying the soil data to a crop model, performing environmental monitoring at the at least one location to generate environmental data, updating the crop model with the environmental data, and using the crop model to provide predicted crop conditions. The method further includes determining environmental conditions for each of the plant breeding experiments, determining a likelihood of trait phenotype variations for each experiment using the environmental conditions and the predicted crop conditions, selecting a subset of the plant breeding experiments for collecting trait phenotype measurements based on the likelihood of trait phenotypic variation, and collecting trait phenotype measurements from the subset of the plant breeding experiments.
Abstract:
The original contoured thumb and finger pick for players of stringed instruments introduced an incredible innovation for guitar players and others. Improvements based on this unique concept have transformed a useful tool into an extremely comfortable and natural strumming aid. The pick saddle totally follows the thumb and finger contours for greater comfort and the band is secured to the pick with a low profile post. A new method of constructing a large inventory of 3d CAD models with the manufacture of individual custom fit models by 3d printing now makes the improved contoured pick available to all sizes and shapes of fingers and thumbs, and allows each player to select a pick which will best fit his own shape, size, and playing style. The “method of multiple variations of 3D CAD models” for creating a diverse array of “custom fit” finger products also has its application for nearly any category of human personal items made to fit a part of the human body, and an application of this method for the creation of custom fit foot products is presented.

A novel maize variety designated X03C201 and seed, plants and plant parts thereof, produced by crossing Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Inc. proprietary inbred maize varieties. Methods for producing a maize plant that comprises crossing hybrid maize variety X03C201 with another maize plant. Methods for producing a maize plant containing in its genetic material one or more traits introgressed into X03C201 through backcross conversion and/or transformation, and to the maize seed, plant and plant part produced thereby. This invention relates to the maize variety X03C201, the seed, the plant produced from the seed, and variants, mutants, and minor modifications of maize variety X03C201.
