    摘要： A surgical instrument configured for use in a surgical procedure is disclosed herein. The surgical instrument comprises a housing, a first sensor configured to detect a condition of the surgical instrument, and a second sensor configured to detect the condition of the surgical instrument. The surgical instrument further comprises a processor, wherein the processor is located within the housing. The first sensor and the second sensor are in signal communication with the processor. The processor receives a first signal from the first sensor and a second signal from the second sensor. The processor is configured to utilize the first signal and the second signal to determine the condition and communicate instructions to the surgical instrument during the surgical procedure in view of the condition.

    摘要： A surgical system comprising an elongate shaft and an end effector is disclosed herein. The end effector comprises a first jaw, a second jaw, and a staple cartridge comprising staples removably stored therein, wherein the first jaw is movable relative to the second jaw. The surgical system further comprises a first rotatable drive system configured to close the first jaw and a second rotatable drive system. The second rotatable drive system comprises a drive screw, a drive member movable between a proximal position and a distal position during a staple firing stroke, and a sled configured to eject the staples from the staple cartridge during the staple firing stroke. The sled is not pulled proximally by the drive member when the drive member is retracted. The end effector, the drive screw, and the sled comprise a replaceable assembly.

    摘要： A surgical instrument can comprise a handle, a shaft extending from the handle, and an end effector rotatably coupled to the shaft by an articulation joint. The surgical instrument can further include a staple cartridge positioned within the end effector and a firing drive operably coupled with a trigger wherein the operation of the trigger can advance and/or retract a firing member of the firing drive relative to the end effector. The surgical instrument can further comprise an articulation drive which is selectively engageable with the firing drive. When the articulation drive is engaged with the firing drive, the operation of the firing drive can operate the articulation drive and articulate the end effector. When the articulation drive is not engaged with the firing drive, the firing drive can be operated independently of the articulation drive.

    摘要： Various systems and methods of controlling the display of a knife position of a surgical cutting instrument according to the position of a displacement member. The surgical instrument includes a displacement member movable between a first position and a second position to drive a cutting member between an unfired position and a fire position, a sensor configured to detect a position of the displacement member and provide a signal indicative thereof and a display. The surgical instrument determines whether the knife is retracting and then only begins decrementing the displayed knife position once the displacement member has retracted from the distal or second position of its firing stroke by a particular distance.
