    摘要: In a network, where a packet is to be transmitted on a channel to a communication device with a time offset between a shared control channel and a shared data channel, the packets can be ordered. A margin (301) can be determined (403) between a power need of a data channel of a packet and a total available transmit power (315) of the network infrastructure device. Scheduling packets (405) is responsive to the margin, and determines the next packet to be sent, where the control channel of the next packet has a power need less than the power margin. Resources are allocated (407) responsive to the margin to further determine the subsequent packet. The subsequent packet is transmitted (411) on the channel, wherein the data channel of the current packet and the control channel of the subsequent packet are at least partially contemporaneous.

    摘要: A system for three-dimensional reconstruction of a surface profile of a surface of an object is provided that utilizes a binary pattern projected onto the surface of the object. A binary string consisting of a series of “1”s and “0”s is first created, and a binary pattern of light that is constructed in accordance with the binary string such that bright and dark bands of light of equal widths correspond to “1”s and “0”s from the binary string respectively is projected onto the surface. The binary pattern is shifted with respect to the surface multiple times, during which an image of the binary pattern illuminating the surface is obtained at each position of the binary pattern. Thereafter, a height of each predetermined point on the surface is calculated relative to a reference plane based upon the images cumulatively obtained at said predetermined point.

    摘要: Using conventional techniques, a common power control channel provides information used by mobile stations for power control operation of each mobile station. In accordance with the present invention, the common power control channel is also used to provide information used by the mobile stations for purposes other than the power control operation of each mobile station. In one embodiment, the information used for purposes other than power control operation comprises information instruction the mobile station to transition to an active state. In another embodiment, the information used for non-power control purposes is transmitted to mobile stations during periods in which the power control information is not being transmitted. Using a common power control channel in this manner substantially reduces the resources consumed by a mobile station while operating in a stand-by state.
