    Abstract: A triple-lens type projection display includes a source for generating a white primary beam output, a first beam splitter for splitting the white primary beam output into a first color component and a secondary beam output, a second beam splitter for splitting the secondary beam output into a second color component and a third color component, first, second and third light modulators for modulating the first, second and third color components, respectively, a first projection lens for receiving the first color component from the first light modulator, a second projection lens for receiving the second color component from the second light modulator, and a third projection lens for receiving the third color component from the third light modulator. Each of the first, second and third color components has a respective optical path length that is measured from the first beam splitter to a respective one of the first, second and third light modulators. The optical path lengths of the first, second and third color components are equal.

    Abstract: A projection display is used to process a light beam that includes first, second and third color components and that is to be provided to a projection lens. The projection display includes a dichroic beam splitter which separates the first color component from the second and third color components. A first polarization beam splitter prism cooperates with a first reflective light valve to process the first color component. A second polarization beam splitter prism cooperates with second and third reflective light valves to process the second and third color components. A third polarization beam splitter prism is disposed so as to direct the processed color components from the first and second polarization beam splitter prisms to the projection lens.

    Abstract: An illumination device and an image projection apparatus having the same. The illumination device has a light source with multiple light emitting devices and an uniform illuminating means evenly distributed in front of the light source. The light emitted from the light source can thus uniformly project on a light valve. In addition, a polarization converter is used to convert the light into a usable polarization type, so as to increase the illumination efficiency. The image projection apparatus basically has three of the above mentioned illumination devices to emit three elementary color lights projecting onto a screen.

    Abstract: An illumination device and an image display apparatus using the same. The illumination device comprising a light source, an illumination uniformizing device, and a polarization converter. The image display apparatus comprises an illumination device provided in the invention, a synthesizing means, and a projection means. The illumination uniformizing device has an incident plane for receiving a light emitted from the light source. Opposite the incident plane, a mirror is used as a side plane of the illumination uniformizing device to reflect the light coming from the incident plane. A bottom plane at a lower side and projection plane at an upper side of the incident plane are disposed between the incident plane and the side plane. A scattering pattern gradually condensed from the incident side toward the side plane is formed on the bottom plane, so that the light incident from the incident plane is made uniform.

    Abstract: A vehicle lighting device including a light source module, a light valve, a sensing unit, a projection lens set and a control unit. The light source module provides an illumination beam. The light valve is located on a transmission path of the illumination beam, and is capable of being switched to different states for adjusting the illumination beam. The sensing unit senses the front of the vehicle lighting device and generates a signal. The projection lens set is disposed on an optical path of the illumination beam for projecting at least a portion of the illumination beam. The control unit is electrically connected to the light valve and the sensing unit for receiving the signal. The control unit controls the light valve to adjust a light distribution pattern of the illumination beam according to the signal, and project the illumination beam to the front through the projection lens set.
