Abstract: A process for sensor sharing for an autonomous lane change is provided. The process includes, within a dynamic controller of a host vehicle, monitoring sensors of the host vehicle, establishing communication between the host vehicle and a confederate vehicle on a same roadway as the host vehicle, monitoring sensors of the confederate vehicle, within the dynamic controller of the host vehicle, utilizing data from the sensors of the host vehicle and data from the sensors of the confederate vehicle to initiate a lane change maneuver for the host vehicle, and executing the lane change maneuver for the host vehicle.

Abstract: Systems and method are provided for notifying an operator of a vehicle of reverse operation of a vehicle. In one embodiment, a method includes: determining, by a processor, reverse direction operation of a first vehicle on a road; selectively generating, by a processor, notification data based on the reverse operation, map data, camera data, and speed data, wherein the notification data includes information to notify an operator of a second vehicle of the reverse operation; and selectively generating, by a processor, communication data based on the reverse operation, wherein the communication data includes information to notify at least one of a third vehicle and a remote transportation system of the reverse direction operation.

Abstract: A system of a motor vehicle for detecting a wrong-way driving vehicle and warning third parties includes multiple sensors that generate associated input signals indicative of characteristics of a target vehicle. The telematics module further includes a controller and a storage medium storing computer code for execution by the controller. The computer code is configured to compare the characteristics of the target vehicle to associated threshold values. The computer code is further configured to determine a confidence score indicative of the wrong-way driving vehicle, in response to the controller determining that the characteristics exceed the threshold values. The computer code is further configured to compare the confidence score to a threshold score and generate a notification signal, in response to the controller determining that the confidence score is above the threshold score. The telematics module that transmits the notification signal to the third parties.
