摘要: A system and method for communicating with a plurality of vehicles. The method includes receiving route information from a plurality of telematics units installed into each of the vehicles. The information may be collected as the vehicles are traveling along a vehicle route. The method further includes determining an eligibility of the vehicle route for use with a semi-autonomous driving system of the vehicles from at least the received route information. The method may also include communicating the eligibility of the vehicle route to the vehicles. The system includes a plurality of telematics units configured to collect route information as the vehicles are traveling along a vehicle route. The system further includes a database in communication with the plurality of telematics units. The database includes an eligibility of the vehicle route for use with a super cruise system of the vehicles.

摘要: A vehicle telematics device for a vehicle that includes an electronic processor, a wireless chipset for wireless communication to and from the vehicle, and a bus interface for receiving bus messages from a communications bus in the vehicle. The vehicle telematics device includes computer readable memory storing program code that, upon execution by the processor, causes the vehicle telematics device to: (a) monitor for messages received by the bus interface from the communications bus; (b) detect a communication failure of the communication bus based on the monitoring; (c) determine a vehicle movement that is indicative of a vehicle crash; and (d) initiate a communication with a remote facility in response to both the detection of the communication failure and the determination of the vehicle movement that is indicative of a crash a notification.

摘要: A vehicle including a Global Positioning System (GPS) sensor, an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), and an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) is described. Operating the vehicle includes determining, via the GPS sensor, first parameters associated with a velocity, a position, and a course, and determining, via the IMU, second parameters associated with acceleration and angular velocity. Roll and pitch parameters are determined based upon the first and second parameters. A first vehicle velocity vector is determined based upon the roll and pitch parameters, the first parameters, and the second parameters; and a second vehicle velocity vector is determined based upon the roll and pitch parameters, road surface friction coefficient, angular velocity, road wheel angles and the first vehicle velocity vector. A final vehicle velocity vector is determined based upon fusion of the first and second vehicle velocity vectors. The vehicle is controlled based upon the final vehicle velocity vector.
