摘要: A wire harness capable of forming a short circuit by use of a plurality of electric wires and a joint connector while being slenderized and reduced in weight. The wire harness includes a plurality of circuit modules each forming a short circuit. Each of the circuit modules, includes a plurality of electric wires, and a plurality of external-connection connectors, connected to respective first ends of the electric wires, and a joint connector, connected to respective second ends of the electric wires to short-circuit the electric wires. The electric wires constituting the circuit modules are bundled together so that the joint connector of each of the circuit modules is discretely disposed so as to be located in a vicinity of at least one of the external-connection connectors included in the circuit module, around which electric wires a binding tape is wound.

摘要: A crimp terminal whose crimp state can be easily evaluated and to provide a method of manufacturing a terminal-provided wire comprising the crimp terminal. The crimp terminal includes a pair of conductor barrels which are crimped onto a conductor of an electric wire. The conductor barrel has an outer surface provided with a crimp state indicator for evaluating a crimp level thereof. The indicator may be a mark so shaped that a position of an internal end of an outwardly exposed part thereof is varied in a terminal axial direction corresponding to the crimp level, or include a plurality of marks spaced in a direction perpendicular to the terminal axial direction.

摘要: Provided are a ground connecting device occupying only a little space and a wire harness having the ground connecting device. The ground connecting device comprises first and second ground joint connectors to connect a plurality of first and second grounding wires included in a wire harness to a ground site. The first ground joint connector includes a plurality of first wire terminals to be attached to respective terminal ends of the first grounding wires and a first ground conductor having a first ground-side terminal portion and a first connector housing which holds the first ground conductor. The second ground joint connector includes a plurality of wire terminals to be attached to respective terminal ends of the second remaining grounding wires, and a second ground conductor having a second ground-side terminal portion, and a second connector housing which holds the second ground conductor. The first and second connector housings are stacked above a wall surface while the ground-side terminal portions of the first and second ground conductors are stacked.

摘要: Provided is a technique of enabling high-compression crimping without breaking a crimp terminal while forming a recessed portion promoting a wire crimp portion of the crimp terminal to cut into a conductor in the wire crimp portion. The crimp terminal according to the invention includes a wire crimp portion, which is crimped to a conductor of a wire and includes a first crimp portion crimped to a base side of the conductor and a second crimp portion crimped to a tip end side. A recessed portion for promoting a cutting-in effect is formed in an inner surface of the wire crimp portion. A recessed portion formed in the second crimp portion is divided in a terminal width direction or is shallower than a recessed portion formed in the first crimp portion. Alternatively, the recessed portion is omitted and a recessed portion is formed only in the first crimp portion.

摘要: The present invention provides a water-proofing joint connector capable of electrically interconnecting a plurality of terminals, with a simple structure, irrespective of the number of the terminals. The water-proofing joint connector includes a connection conductor, a housing and a cap member. The connecting conductor has a plurality of fitting portions to be fitted with respective terminals, preliminarily held within the housing. The housing includes a plurality of terminal insertion portions and a cap-member insertion portion which opens to an opposite side of the terminal insertion portions. The cap member has a cap portion to close the cap-member insertion portion and a fit detection portion to come into contact with the terminal locking portion elastically displaced by the terminals failing to be fully fitted, to thereby prevent the cap member from being attached to the cap-member insertion portion.

摘要: Provided is a technique of ensuring mechanical strength in a terminal-provided wire and lowering contact resistance between the wire and the crimp terminal, without greatly varying a crimp height of a crimp terminal onto the wire in an axial direction. A crimp terminal according to the invention includes a conductor barrel which is crimped to a conductor of a wire. The conductor barrel has an inner surface which closely contacts the conductor by bending. The inner surface has such a shape a surface thereof which closely contacts a tip end side part of the conductor inwardly projects beyond a surface thereof which closely contacts a base side part of the conductor, thus performing a higher compression of the tip end side part of the conductor than that of the base side part thereof by the bending.

摘要: A wire harness has a joint connector having a joint terminal and a connector housing. The joint terminal has a short-circuit section and a plurality of electrical contact portions aligned in a direction substantially orthogonal to an axial direction of wires. The connector housing has an external wall surrounding terminal chambers and exposed to the outside; and a plurality of terminal locking tabs formed integrally with the external wall the terminal locking tabs locking wire terminals. Each of the terminal locking tabs has a shape deflectable between an engaging position that locks each wire terminal and a disengaging position. The joint connector is fixed to the peripheral surface of a wire harness main body while the outer surface of the external wall of the connector housing faces and contacts the peripheral surface of the wire harness main body the connector housing being provided with the terminal locking tabs.

The connector (C) includes connector terminals (30) to be mounted on ends of wires (W), and a housing (40) for holding the connector terminals (30) so that the connector terminals (30) can simultaneously contact the conductors for connection (14). The housing (40) includes a lid (48) for closing the opening (21). The case (20) locks the housing (40) at a position where the connector terminals (30) contact the conductors for connection (14) of the circuit board (10) at the board holding position.
