摘要： A video recording apparatus provides a slow motion effect or a quick motion effect by digitally converting the frame-rate instead of by changing the playback speed of the film, and using few recording media without requiring any special device at playing. A picture encoding part encodes only valid frames by changing a rate-controlling method so that a predetermined playing frame-rate is obtained at a standard data-rate at playing. And a TS multiplexing part multiplexes by converting a frequency of a standard STC clock by only a ratio of valid frame-rate and playing frame-rate, and generating values for PCR, PTS, and DTS.

摘要： A video processing device includes: encoder for generating a compressed video data by compressing and encoding a video data from camera unit; and system control unit for recording the compressed video data during a recording period from a recording start time to a recording end time as a video file and for recording, into recording memory, additional data as an index file that is information related to a compressed video data to be recorded in recording memory and, for reading the additional data together with the compressed video data from recording memory. System control unit records, into recording memory, the additional data recorded in the index file. The additional data is composed of additional data regarding the compressed video data recorded during the recording period and another additional data including a time code value showing a time at which a compressed video data to be recorded next is started.

The recording method comprises the steps of (a) performing a search for unallocated areas in an information recording area and retaining, in a memory, unallocated area identifying information for identifying at least one unallocated area found by the search, (b) determining whether or not an unallocated area satisfying a record request is present among the at least one unallocated areas identified by the unallocated area identifying information, and (c) when an unallocated area satisfying a record request is present among the at least one unallocated areas identified by the unallocated area identifying information, allocating the unallocated area as an area for recording data and recording data into the allocated area.
