摘要: A clad billet 120 has a core material 122 of which outer surface is coated by a coating material 124. A circular front plate 126 is provided at the head of the clad billet 120. The front plate 126 is made of the same material as the coating material 124. As the clad billet 120 is extruded, the front plate 126 first flows out. Accordingly, instead of the core material 122, the front plate 126 forms dead metal. Moreover, since this front plate 126 is made of the same material as the coating material 124, a defective clad such as a three layer clad are not formed. Also, since a billet thrusting face 102a is tapered toward an axis A of a die at an angle of 55-85 degrees, the volume of dead metal itself is reduced, and therefore it is possible to flow out the defective clad, even if it is generated, at an early stage of extrusion.

摘要: In a CELP system, a coder and a decoder have identical codebooks, and the amount of data to be transmitted is compressed by transmission and reception of codebook indexes. Past excitation signals are stored in a memory and used as an adaptive codebook to improve the speech quality. The coder and the decoder each comprise memory means for storing index data for at least one frame, and means for generating an adaptive codebook afresh by initialization to zero for each frame when generating an excitation signal according to stored indexes.

摘要: In order to reduce the complexity of an adaptive digital filter used to cancel delayed network echoes, a delay circuit is arranged in series therewith and arranged to compensate for the delay inherent with a speech codec. In the case of a variable delay circuit, the degree by which the echo is delayed is detected in the adaptive digital filter and used to modify the delay time. A gain control arrangement can be provided and used to reduce the gain of the received signal when the near-end party is talking and the adaptive capacity of the adaptive digital filter is exceeded.

摘要: A system for controlling a temperature of a molten resin in a cylinder of an extruder includes a plurality of temperature detecting elements which are disposed in a wall of the cylinder generally in a plane perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the cylinder to detect the temperature of the cylinder. The temperature detecting elements are radially spaced by different distances from an inner peripheral surface of the cylinder wall. Detecting devices are provided for detecting an ambient temperature of the extruder and the number of revolutions of a screw of the extruder. A microprocessor unit is programmed to be responsive to detecting signals from the temperature detecting elements and detecting devices to calculate a proper estimated temperature of the molten resin and to calculate a difference between a desired temperature of the resin and the estimated temperature and to determine in accordance with this difference a set temperature of the cylinder wall. A temperature regulating device compares the set temperature with one of the temperatures detected by the temperature detecting elements to produce a temperature control signal in response to which the temperature of the portion of the cylinder where the one temperature detecting element is disposed is brought into agreement with the set temperature.
