    摘要: A miniaturized ultrasonic motor comprises a stator having an elastic body on which a travelling oscillatory wave is generated and which is supported on a fixing unit in a manner that prevents rotation of the elastic body but permits axial movement of the elastic body. The travelling oscillatory wave rotates a rotor that contacts protruding portions of the elastic body, and the rotor rotates a driven body therewith. The driven body engages the rotor in a manner that constrains the driven body to rotate with the rotor but that permits relative axial movement of the driven body and the rotor body.

    摘要: An automatic exposure device in a camera divides an object field into a plurality of areas and photometers them by the use of a divisional photometry element, and calculates optimum exposure from the result of the photometry. The divisional photometry element includes a photometric converting portion for photoelectrically converting incident light in each of the areas and putting out an output, and a reading portion for reading out the plurality of outputs of the photoelectric converting portion. When the number of successive outputs of a row of the areas in the readout direction which exceed a predetermined value is greater than a predetermined number, the output of that row is completely omitted in the calculation of the optimum exposure.

    摘要: An automatic flash amount control apparatus of camera, which can avoid over-exposure of a subject to be controlled in flash amount even if the subject to be illuminated occupies only a small portion of photo-taking screen, executes photo-metering of a field to be photographed while dividing the field into a plurality of first metering regions without flashing of a flashing device and meters an optical flux emitted by the flashing device and then reflected by the field to be photographed while dividing the flux into a plurality of second metering regions. The apparatus separates the second metering regions into two groups, one of which is to contribute to and the other of which is not to contribute to flash amount control, with correspondence to respective results of metering of the first metering regions. Upon flashing of the flashing device, an amount of flash of the flashing device is controlled according to results of metering of the second metering regions which have been determined to contribute to the flash amount control.

    摘要: An ultrasonic motor includes a piezoelectric member which is excited in response to a driving signal, an elastic member in which a travelling wave is produced upon excitation of the piezoelectric member, and a movable member which is driven by the travelling wave produced in the elastic member. The surface of the elastic member which confronts the movable member includes first and second surfaces which extend along a travelling direction of the travelling wave. The first surface contacts the movable member. The second surface is formed at a lower position than the first surface by a predetermined step difference such that no polishing treatment is conducted on the second surface when a polishing treatment is conducted on the first surface. The first and the second surfaces are formed so that the amplitude of a travelling wave produced at the first surface is equal to the amplitude of a travelling wave produced at the second surface.
