The present invention provides a manufacturing method of a display device which can efficiently separate individual thin-thickness display devices from a large-sized mother substrate. Scribe marks for separating a plurality of display devices are preliminarily formed on back surfaces of a TFT mother substrate and a sealing mother substrate. By etching front surfaces of these mother substrates, etching portions reach the scribe marks so that a plurality of display devices each of which is constituted of a TFT substrate and a sealing substrate can be separated from each other.

The limited slip mechanism further includes a clutch ring axially slidably mounted within the differential case in surrounding relationship with the second cam element, the clutch ring being formed at an inner periphery thereof with a conical surface for frictional engagement with a corresponding conical surface formed on an outer periphery of the second cam element. The clutch ring is operatively connected to a manually controlled penumatic actuator to be shifted between a disengaged position where it is disengaged from the second cam element and an engaged position where it is engaged with the second cam element to effect relative rotation between said cam elements.

When the wheel is moved on the glass, a fracture layer is formed causing a rib mark to be formed below the fracture layer and a crack to be formed below the rib mark. To cut the glass, the crack is required to be formed uniformly. Applying a force to resist the rotating force of the wheel makes it possible to form a uniform crack even when a projection is present on the glass. This improves glass cutting yield.

The liquid crystal display device comprising: a liquid crystal display panel having a liquid crystal layer sealed between a pair of light-transmissive substrates having pixel formation electrodes on inner surfaces thereof, and formed by assembling positive and negative curved surfaces with respect to one direction; a backlight mounted on a rear surface of the panel along a curved shape of the panel and having at least one light emission device irradiating illumination light toward the rear surface; and a resin member held in a space between peripheral portions where the panel is opposed to the backlight, and fixing and holding a curved state, is provided. Distortion of the light transmissive glass substrates by bending of the panel is eased.
