Abstract: Example communication methods and apparatus are described. One example method includes sending a first handover request by a source base station to a core network device, where the first handover request is used to request to hand over a current session of a terminal from the source base station to any one of at least one base station, and the first handover request includes information about the at least one base station. The source base station receives a first handover response message from the core network device, where the first handover response message includes indication information, and the indication information is used to indicate whether a first base station of the at least one base station supports a network slice corresponding to the current session of the terminal device.

Abstract: This application provides a method for measurement on a carrier, a terminal device, and a network device. The method includes: determining, by a terminal device, a measurement requirement on a first carrier based on at least one of an average measurement probability on the first carrier, a minimum measurement probability on the first carrier, and a maximum quantity of colliding carriers that collide with the first carrier and performing, by the terminal device, measurement on the first carrier based on the measurement requirement. Therefore, a measurement requirement corresponding to each carrier is determined based on an actual measurement status on the carrier, different carriers are processed in different manners, a measurement delay of the terminal device, and a requirement on a measurement capability of the terminal device is prevented from being excessively high.

Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a method and an apparatus for managing quality of service in a wireless communications system. A radio access network device receives service data through n bearers between a core network device and the radio access network device, where the service data includes a plurality of service flows mapped to the n bearers, and n is an integer greater than or equal to 1. The radio access network device performs flow demapping of the received service data according to a QoS rule, to obtain the plurality of service flows. The radio access network device maps, according to the QoS rule, at least some of the plurality of service flows obtained through the flow demapping to t bearers between the radio access network device and a user equipment for transmission, where t is an integer greater than or equal to 1.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention disclose a timing value adjustment method and apparatus, which relate to the communications field and reduce a probability that power of a terminal exceeds a limit. A specific solution is that: an absolute timing difference of a timing advance group TAG pair is obtained according to an absolute value of a difference between transmit timing values or receive timing values of the two TAGs in the TAG pair, where the TAG pair is formed by any two TAGs in a TAG set; and it is determined that the absolute timing difference of the TAG pair meets a predetermined condition, and first signaling is sent to a network device, where the first signaling includes identifiers of the two TAGs in the TAG pair. The present invention is used in a timing value adjustment process.
