A first base station sends a context of a terminal to a second base station according to a request of the second base station. The request message of the second base station includes a first identifier, the first identifier is an identifier of the terminal in a non-connected mode in an area configured by the first base station, and the context of the terminal includes a core network-related context. The second base station may perform a corresponding RRC configuration based on the obtained context of the terminal. The first base station uses a RAT different from the second base station.

    摘要: This application discloses an information transmission method in a communication system. According to the method, a master base station sends a request message to a secondary base station for requesting to transfer one or more flows from the master base station to the secondary base station for transmission to a terminal device. The request message carries one or both of identification information of each flow, and information of a data radio bearer (DRB) associated with each flow. The master base station receives a response message from the secondary base station, indicating whether each of the one or more flows is admitted or rejected by the secondary base station. Based on the identification information of the flows, DRBs are mapped to the flows. QoS management of information transmission is more refined, and requirements of 5G communication systems for QoS management of information transmission in a dual connectivity scenario can be met.

    摘要: A RAN server, a wireless communications system, and a terminal attach method are provided. The RAN server configured to centrally manage base stations of a plurality of wireless communications standards is introduced, and the RAN server is used as a central node to implement a unified interface to a core network. A base station that is of any wireless communications standard and that is managed by the RAN server may independently provide a data transmission service to a terminal, so that the wireless communications system provided in this application basically does not cause an additional latency. In addition, a TAI unrelated to a wireless communications standard of a base station is carried in an attach request message, an attach accept message, and an attach complete message that are exchanged in a terminal attach process.

One example method includes selecting a target side identifier corresponding to a communication type by a media access control (MAC) entity of a first terminal device, where the communication type includes unicast communication, multicast communication, or broadcast communication, and the target side identifier includes a destination layer 2 identifier or a destination layer 1 identifier. A first sidelink logical channel (LCH) is obtained by the MAC entity of the first terminal device, where the first sidelink LCH is an LCH having a highest priority among LCHs that correspond to the target side identifier and the communication type and that have data. A transmission resource to data on the first sidelink LCH is allocated by the MAC entity of the first terminal device.
