    Abstract: A WTRU may receive downlink control information (DCI) indicating a start of a frame. The DCI may be received on a control channel, such as the Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) from an eNB, base station, AP, or other infrastructure equipment operating in a wireless communications system. The WTRU may decode the DCI and may determine a transmit time interval (TTI) duration, which may be expressed in terms of an integer number of basic time intervals (BTIs). The WTRU may determine a downlink (DL) transmission portion and assignment and an uplink (UL) transmission portion and UL grant based on the received DCI. Additionally, the WTRU may determine the start of the UL portion based on an offset (toffset). The WTRU may receive data in a DL portion of the frame and may transmit in an UL portion of the frame based on the determined UL grant and TTI duration.

In one representative embodiment, a method may be implemented by a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) using a channel The method may include receiving, by the WTRU in a downlink message, a channel transmission trigger (CTT) and selecting, by the WTRU, a type of a Listen Before Talk (LBT) configuration to be performed based on the received CTT. The method may further include determining, by the WTRU in accordance with the type of LBT configuration selected, whether the channel is available for transmission and transmitting data or control information on the channel, on condition that the channel is available for transmission.

    Abstract: A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may receive/transmit data by employing a discontinuous reception cycle, which may include an awake state and a sleep state. For example, while in an awake state, a WTRU may monitor a PDCCH for a subset of time instances. During the remaining time instances, the WTRU may enter a sleep state, in which the WTRU may switch its receiving circuitry off (e.g., to reduce power consumption). A WTRU may receive (e.g., may expect to receive) one or more transmissions, during an awake state, before entering a sleep state. The durations of an awake state and/or the durations of subsequent sleep states may be determined based on whether the WTRU receives a transmission during the awake state and/or what the transmission was for. The WTRU may modify the value of a sleep state timer based on previous sleep state and/or awake state timer values.

    Abstract: A system and methods for beam failure recovery and management for multi-carrier communications with beamforming are disclosed herein. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may monitor for and detect a beam failure of a beam associated with a secondary cell (Scell). The WTRU may select an Scell candidate beam. The WTRU may transmit using a selected uplink (UL) resource in a primary cell (SpCell) a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE) including an indication of Scell beam failure and identifying the selected candidate beam. The WTRU may receive an Scell beam failure indication response on the SpCell indicating an SCell index and a downlink (DL) quasi co-location (QCL) reference associated with the Scell. The WTRU may verify that the DL QCL reference matches with the candidate beam. The WTRU may perform random access on the SCell using the selected QCL reference and the selected candidate beam.

    Abstract: A wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU) may operate in a dual connectivity (DC) context. While in a RRC_INACTIVE state, the WTRU may receive a paging message from a first cell, which may be associated with a master cell group (MCG). The paging message may indicate that the WTRU is to respond to the paging message on another cell. Also, or alternatively, the paging message may indicate that data for the WTRU is available on an SCG bearer. The WTRU may select a second cell (e.g., a cell other than the first cell) from a secondary cell group (SCG) list, which may include one or more secondary cells. The WTRU may initiate a random access channel procedure with the second cell based on receiving the paging message from the first cell.     Abstract: A receiver bandwidth adaptation for radio access technologies (RATs) may be for a New Radio (NR) or 5G flexible RAT. A WTRU control channel {e.g., receiver) bandwidth may change, for example, based on monitoring a downlink channel for an in indication using a bandwidth (BW) associated with a first BW configuration. The indication may include a signal to change the receiver BW.     Abstract: Techniques for uplink power control (e.g., for New Radio (NR)) are disclosed. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may determine that the WTRU is to perform a first and a second transmissions using a first and a second transmission beams. The WTRU may determine an uplink transmission power for one or more of the first or second transmissions. For example, if the angular separation of the first and the second transmission beams is greater than a first separation threshold, the WTRU may determine the uplink transmission power having a first maximum power level parameter and a second maximum power level parameter. If the angular separation of the first and the second transmission beams is less than a second separation threshold, the WTRU determine the uplink transmission power having a shared maximum power level parameter.     Abstract: Systems, methods, and instrumentalities are for identifying, determining, or selecting one or more numerologies in a wireless system. The numerologies may include one or more of a subcarrier spacing, a transmission duration, a symbol duration, a number of symbols, or a cyclic prefix (CP) size. The WTRU may send an access request indicating the identified, determined, or selected one or more numerologies. The access request may be a random access channel (RACH) request or a scheduling request (SR). The WTRU may monitor one or more search spaces for one or more physical control channels. The search spaces may be monitored based on an identified, determined, or selected one or more numerologies. Within one of the search spaces, the WTRU may receive and successfully decode a physical control channel. The WTRU may transmit data based on the numerology associated with the search space in which the physical channel was successfully decoded.
