Abstract: A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may receive configuration information that indicates associated random access channel occasions (ROs). for example, a first RO and a second RO. The WTRU may determine a feature combination associated with the WTRU. The WTRU may determine a set of preambles based on the feature combination associated with the WTRU. The set of preambles may include multiple subsets of preambles, for example, a first subset of preambles associated with the first RO of the associated ROs and a second subset of preambles associated with the second RO of the associated ROs. The WTRU may transmit a first preamble of the first subset of preambles on the first RO of the plurality of associated ROs and a second preamble of the second subset of preambles on the second RO of the plurality of associated ROs.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are described herein for selective one-shot hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback by priority level. For example, a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may determine a priority associated with each transport block (TB). The each TB may correspond to respective HARQ processes associated with downlink transmissions from a base station (BS). The WTRU may receive, from the BS, a request for the one-shot HARQ feedback with an indication of a priority selected for the one-shot HARQ feedback. The WTRU may generate a HARQ codebook for transmission of the one-shot feedback. The HARQ codebook may comprise one or more information bits corresponding to one or more TBs determined based on the indicated priority. The WTRU may determine, based on a number of the one or more information bits, a transmission power and transmit, at the transmission power, the one-shot feedback comprising the generated HARQ codebook.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and instrumentalities are disclosed for receiver feedback in wireless systems. Receiver feedback format, content, type and/or timing may be determined as a function of, for example, at least one of a type of soft-combining processing to apply in a HARQ process, a HARQ operating point for the HARQ process, one or more reference transmissions for controlling a type of HARQ feedback for the HARQ process, and a feedback suppression parameter for one or more transmissions in a sequence associated with the HARQ process or a transport block (TB). Uniform and non-uniform CB-to-CBG mapping may be provided (e.g., by a WTRU) based on, for example, one or more parameters, interference and channel conditions and/or a probability of or actual pre-empting transmissions. A CB to CBG mapping indication may be provided, for example, in support of selecting a CB to CBG mapping from multiple CB to CBG mappings. Intra- and inter-WTRU interference/preemption indications may be provided.

The RUL and SUL carriers may be associated with a common downlink (DL) carrier of a serving cell. The WTRU may include a processor configured to select data from one or more logical channels for transmission in accordance with the allocations. The WTRU may include a transmitter configured to transmit data from one logical channel on the RUL carrier and to transmit data from another logical channel on the SUL carrier in accordance with the allocations.

DMRS symbols may be placed in a slot for channel estimation operations. For example, channel estimation performance may be enhanced based on using an increased number of DMRS symbols. Channel estimation enhancements may be performed by transmitting DMRS symbols in an extended slot, for example, to avoid data degradation (e.g., which may result from replacing data transmission symbols with DMRS symbols). An extended slot may be a slot that includes symbols spanning across multiple slots (e.g., two slots, consecutive slots), for example, such as a slot n and a slot n+1.

Abstract: A system and methods for beam failure recovery and management for multi-carrier communications with beamforming are disclosed herein. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may monitor for and detect a beam failure of a beam associated with a secondary cell (Scell). The WTRU may select an Scell candidate beam. The WTRU may transmit using a selected uplink (UL) resource in a primary cell (SpCell) a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE) including an indication of Scell beam failure and identifying the selected candidate beam. The WTRU may receive an Scell beam failure indication response on the SpCell indicating an SCell index and a downlink (DL) quasi co-location (QCL) reference associated with the Scell. The WTRU may verify that the DL QCL reference matches with the candidate beam. The WTRU may perform random access on the SCell using the selected QCL reference and the selected candidate beam.

A WTRU may determine whether a logical channel may be included in a transmission during a COT based on a logical channel restriction. A transmission may be during a COT via a subband(s).

Abstract: A method performed by a WTRU may comprise receiving a plurality of LBT configurations associated with one or more of a beam, a BWP, a LCH, a set of LBT parameters, a transmission type or an LBT subband. The method may further comprise receiving an indication to transmit using a first LBT configuration of the plurality of LBT configurations. An attempt to acquire a channel may then be made using the first LBT configuration. The indication to transmit may additionally indicate a second LBT configuration of the plurality of LBT configurations. Data may be transmitted on the channel when the attempt to acquire the channel is successful. An attempt to acquire the channel using the second LBT configuration of the plurality of LBT configurations may be made when the attempt to acquire the channel using the first LBT configuration fails.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for transmitting a hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgment (HARQ-ACK) are disclosed. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may transmit a random access channel (RACH) message-A to a gNB. The WTRU may receive a RACH message-B from the gNB in response to the message-A. The message-B may comprise downlink control information (DCI). The WTRU may decode a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) based on the DCI. The WTRU may determine that contention resolution is successful. The WTRU may determine a resource for a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH). The WTRU may transmit a HARQ-ACK over the determined PUCCH resource. The WTRU may determine the resource for the PUCCH based on a PUCCH resource index. The PUCCH resource index may be based on a random access preamble index (RAPID) and a PUCCH resource indicator (PRI).

Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems, architectures and interfaces for performing a configured grant (CG) uplink (UL) transmission are provided. The method includes receiving configuration information associated with a plurality of CG configurations for CG UL transmission; determining to transmit the CG UL transmission according to any of: (1) a set of available channel bandwidths, (2) a number of code block groups (CBGs), and (3) transmission parameters associated with the CG UL transmission; selecting a first CG configuration according to any of: (1) the set of available channel bandwidths, (2) the number of code block groups (CBGs), and (3) the transmission parameters associated with the CG UL transmission; and transmitting any number of CBGs as the CG UL transmission using resources associated with the selected first configuration, wherein the resources of the selected first CG configuration are entirely within the set of available channel bandwidths.
