Abstract:
The present disclosure relates generally to gaming systems and, in particular, to back-betting within a gaming system. As an example, a back-betting system is disclosed to include a first communication interface that facilitates machine-to-machine communications with an Electronic Gaming Machine (EGM) of a gaming system, where the first communication interface is used to exchange state-of-play information with the EGM. The system is also disclosed to include a second communication interface that facilitates machine-to-machine communications with a mobile device, where the second communication interface is used to exchange back-bet wager information and deliver an indication of an outcome of a back-bet placed during a back-betting session established with the mobile device. The system may still further include a processor and a computer-readable storage medium with processor-executable instructions that limit a duration of the back-betting session based on an association existing between the EGM and the mobile device.
Abstract:
An electronic gaming machine and methods of operating an electronic gaming machine that provide selectable sound beams. In various embodiments, the electronic gaming machine includes a housing having a front side, a head position tracker supported by the housing, a first speaker array supported by the housing, and a second speaker array supported by the housing. The first speaker array includes a plurality of independently operable first speakers that are positioned at different angles to direct sound beams at different angles relative to the front side of the housing. The second speaker array includes a plurality of independently operable second speakers that are positioned at different angles to direct sound beams at different angles relative to the front side of the housing.
Abstract:
Gaming systems and methods that automatically adjust the audio outputted by the gaming system based on a prediction that the player wants to change the audio. Upon an occurrence of an audio adjustment determination, the gaming system automatically makes an adjustment to the audio outputted by the gaming system. This automatic audio adjustment feature can be employed in association with the audio outputted in association with a play of a primary game, the audio outputted in association with a play of a secondary game, the audio outputted before a play of a primary game or before a play of a secondary game, and/or the audio outputted after a play of a primary game or after a play of a secondary game.
Abstract:
An electronic gaming machine (EGM) includes a display having a display surface configured to provide stereoscopic 3D viewing of at least a portion of the game. The portion of the game includes a 3D interface element. The EGM further includes a locating sensor that generates an electronic signal based on a player's location in a sensing space. The EGM includes an ultrasonic emitter configured to emit an ultrasonic field. At least a portion of the ultrasonic field is located in the sensing space. The EGM also includes one or more processors configured to: identify a location of one or more player features based on the electrical signal from the locating sensor; determine that the location of the player features is associated with the 3D interface element; and control one or more of the ultrasonic emitters based on the identified location to provide tactile feedback to the player.
Abstract:
A method of operating an electronic gaming machine includes generating an interactive game environment in accordance with game data, the interactive game environment having a viewing area may include a plurality of visible game components as a subset of the interactive game environment, displaying the viewing area with the plurality of visible game components, monitoring eye gaze of a player to collect player eye gaze data, determining a location of the eye gaze of the player relative to the viewing area using the player eye gaze data, and in response to the location of the eye gaze of the player relative to the viewing area, changing a resolution of a portion of the viewing area other than a portion of the viewing area corresponding to location of the eye gaze of the player on the viewing area. Related electronic gaming machines are also disclosed.
Abstract:
An input device includes a body having a generally hemispherical shape including a flat side and a curved side opposite the flat side, a foot pad on the flat side of the body, the foot pad including a foot rest position for receiving a foot of a user, a load sensor configured to detect pressure applied to the foot pad by the foot of a user, an accelerometer in the body configured to detect angular motion of the body in response to the pressure applied to the foot pad, and an output circuit coupled to the pressure sensor and to the accelerometer and configured to output data generated by the pressure sensor and the accelerometer.

Abstract:
A mobile gaming device may be a player's own personal tablet, smartphone, PDA, etc., with an application program installed via the internet for carrying out a remote gaming session. All gaming functions are carried out by a stationary gaming terminal communicating with the mobile device, such as by using WiFi. The mobile device operates as a user interface. If the communications link is temporarily broken during a game, the mobile device will create the appearance that the game is continuous, such as by continuing to spin reels, until communications are re-established. The reels will stop once the mobile device receives the final outcome from the gaming terminal. The player may pause the game to temporarily suspend the minimum game frequency rules. The mobile device may switch between gaming terminals. For 3D video, the original format may be adjusted for the mobile device. The gaming terminal may be a gaming machine.
