摘要: A new method of refreshing a dynamic RAM, uses relatively simple circuitry. Refreshing of the dynamic RAM can be implemented while smoothly accessing any a real-time based high-speed devices such as a floppy disc driver. In a microprocessor system comprising a central processing unit (CPU), a dynamic RAM, and a plurality of input/output ports, a refreshing process of the dynamic RAM can occur in one of two modes. When input/output (I/O) accesses are not being performed by the CPU, a burst mode refreshing process takes place. However, when input/output (I/O) accesses are to be performed, a refreshing process of the dynamic RAM can be implemented within a period while the CPU accesses the input/output (I/O) port addresses.

摘要: An object of the invention is to provide a small-size image reading apparatus which has a high accuracy in image reading, by a different means from the prior arts. A panel includes a plurality of two-dimensionally arranged photoreceptor devices which are interposed between a pair of light-transmitting substrates. At an edge of one of the light-transmitting substrate, a slope is formed, and a light source is opposed to the slope. Light transmitted by reflection on the surfaces of the light-transmitting substrates is emitted on an object which comes in contact with the surface of the panel, and light returned from the object is received by the photoreceptor devices, whereby an image of the object is read. Thus, a direction in which light passes through the panel can be restricted, and the accuracy in image reading can be increased.

摘要: A heat resistant derivative conductive polymer containing nitrogen atoms exclusively in units of polyaniline or a derivative thereof contains a sulfonic acid compound as a dopant, and the percentage of sulfonic acid groups per recurring unit of the polyaniline or derivative thereof is set to 28 to 40%. Also, a solid electrolytic capacitor uses a solid electrolyte of polyaniline or derivative thereof containing a sulfonic acid compound as a dopant, wherein the percentage of sulfonic acid groups per recurring unit of polyaniline or derivative thereof is set to 28 to 40%. In this selected range of the concentration of the dopant, the conductivity and the pyrolysis commencement temperature characteristics are excellent.

摘要: A telephone apparatus has a human body approach sensor for sensing, for example, infrared rays from a human body to produce an approach signal in response to which a controller activates a lamp to illuminate, for example, a ten-key device on the telephone, thereby facilitating the use of the telephone in darkness. When the sensor operation is continued longer than a predetermined period, the controller automatically triggers an automatic dialing function of the telephone.
