摘要： An apparatus for use in launching cement plugs in a well cementing operation, comprising: —a cylinder (104) having ports (106) defined in a portion of the wall thereof; —a piston (108) slideably received in the bore of the cylinder below the ports; and —an actuator (110) extending from the piston through the cylinder and operable by the piston for launching a plug from the apparatus into the well; wherein the apparatus further comprises an elongate sleeve valve member located in the cylinder above the piston, the sleeve valve member (112) comprising at least one ball seat (114a-114c) for receiving a ball to block the interior of the cylinder, sleeve ports formed in the sleeve above the ball seat, and a spacer (118) extending between the ball seat and the piston.

摘要： The invention discloses a system for mixing a liquid material and a solid material, said system comprising: i) a base unit (22′), for the liquid material and the solid material; ii) a liquid material supply (21); iii) a solid material supply (200); iv) a liquid/solid mixing output (23); and v) an injection unit (20) connected to the liquid material supply and to the solid material supply, said injection unit injecting said liquid material and said solid material in the base unit; vi) a separation and extraction unit (24) simultaneously separating surplus of gas coming from the mixing of the liquid material and the solid material and extracting from the base unit said surplus of gas. Further disclosed is a method for mixing a liquid material and a solid material, said method comprising the steps of: i) mixing the liquid material and the solid material to form a liquid/solid slurry; ii) separating and extracting simultaneously from said liquid/solid slurry surplus of gas coming from the mixing of the liquid and the solid material; and iii) extracting from said liquid/solid slurry a liquid/solid material substantially without gas.

摘要： A method for continuously mixing a borehole fluid such as cement includes using a measurement of the solid fraction of a cement slurry as it is being mixed to determine the ratio of the solid and liquid components to be added to the slurry. A system for mixing the includes a liquid material (water) supply including a flow meter; a solid material (cement) supply; a mixer which receives the liquid and solid materials and includes an output for delivering materials from the mixer to a delivery system; a device for measuring the amount of material in the mixer; and a flow meter in the output; wherein measurements from the flow meters and the device for measuring the amount of material in the mixer are used to control the amount of solid and/or liquid material added to the mixer.

摘要： The invention provides a method of isolating an open hole fitted with a slotted liner, the method consisting in pumping a cement or a resin to the level of the slotted liner by means of injection apparatus provided with lips for scrapping the slotted liner downstream from the injection point so that the cement or resin fills the entire borehole upstream from the injection apparatus and also fills the space behind the slotted liner while the apparatus is being raised towards the surface. The invention also provides injection apparatus particularly adapted to implement the method, which apparatus can advantageously be displaced by means of coiled tubing.
